I woke up the next morning with Ellie’s body still draped over mine. Last night was amazing and I’m sure if we didn’t have school there would have been a repeat performance.

“Ellie, baby, it is time to get up.”

She groaned, rolled over and pulled the sheets over her head. I knew she was trying to sleep longer but it was getting later and later.

“I am not kidding. You need to get yourself out of this bed before I do it for you.”

She shot straight up and when she did, I saw her wince just a little bit.

“Are you sore?”

“Just a little bit but I think a hot shower should help with that. Would you like to join me to save time?”

I just nodded. I went and grabbed some towels from the cabinet and started the shower. I felt a pair of arms go around my waist and pull me into a hug. I hugged her back and we got into the shower. This is going to fun.

Twenty minutes later we got out of the shower and got dressed. Me in jeans and a band tee. Ellie stepped out of the closet wearing a black skirt, her converse, and a red sweatshirt. She looked amazing.

“Are you ready to go?”

“Yes, who is driving today?”

“Well would you mind? I have some leftover math homework that I would like to do on the way.”

She grabbed her car keys and headed for the front door. When we got to Ellie’s car, we got in and we sped off towards the school. I concentrated on the math I had to finish that I didn’t even notice the look on Ellie’s face.

Ellie POV

All I could think about on the drive to school was last night. I was still sore from it but don’t regret it at all. I knew Torie was going to ask some questions about last night but I didn’t think I was going to tell her yet. I knew that I shouldn’t even be thinking of that right now with the holidays coming up but it is all I can think about.

With the holidays coming up that meant that exams were coming up. I had a good feeling that I was going to pass. But we would have to wait and see. Finally were at school and I was parking in the parking lot.

*3 hours later*

I was sitting at the lunch table trying to avoid all the questions coming my way from Torie. I finally had an excuse when my phone rang.

“Hey mom, what’s up?”

“Hi sweetie, I was calling to let you know that your dress came in as well as Tories’. I am going to need you both to come over so we can do the fittings.”

“All right, when is good for you?”

“Umm…how about tomorrow after school?”

“Let me ask Torie really quick.”

“Well why don’t you talk to her and call me right back.”

“Okay bye mom.”

Everyone was staring at me, waiting for me to relay what it was my mother wanted.

“Torie, what are you doing after school tomorrow?”

“Nothing. Why?”

“Our dresses came in and my mom wants us to come over and do the fittings.”

“Oh okay, yeah we can do it tomorrow.”

So after that I called my mom back and we settled on 3:30 to come over. Once I hung up the phone, it started ringing again.

“Hello? Oh hi Mary. Yes, of course. All right see you then.”

Finally, Mary had called me back and I was finally heading back to work. I was excited that I was going to be making money again. I didn’t fully love my job as a waitress but oh well. The bell rang and off we went back to class.

*3 hours later*

School was over and we were heading to the apartment when Frankie’s phone rang. He talked to about five minutes when I realized it was it father, which meant the tuxes had come in or something was wrong. I could tell by Frankie’s demeanor that nothing was wrong. Thank god. A few moments later, he was off the phone.

“Are the tuxes in?”

He just nodded. I could tell he was preoccupied with something and right now I was not in the mood to push it. I pulled into the apartment parking lot and drove for the mail boxes. When I pulled out the mail and started going through it, there was a letter addressed to Frankie. When I got into the car, I handed him the letter and he opened it. A few sentences into the letter, his jaw and the letter fell to the floor.
