Torie and I walked into Lincoln High School with dread. Lincoln High School was a school of 1500 students and a crazily insane principal to top it off. The school was split 50/50 for popular and unpopular. With me being in the unpopular side of course. Anyway we headed to the gym where they were handing out schedules. Of course, who should I bump into on the way…Frankie.

“Sorry,” I mumbled.

“Yeah whatever,” he spat back.

I just glared at him and walked away. Torie and I got our schedules and immediately compared them.

Ellie Schedule:

1.    Chemistry

2.    PE

3.    Math

4.    English

Torie Schedule:      

1.    Computers

2.    PE

3.    English

4.    Math

“Well at least we have one class together and lunch,” Torie said.

I nodded. I knew today was going to be a long day. Chemistry was boring but not a lot of homework. Although Frankie was in the class and to make it any better, he sits right behind me.

PE was really boring with a teacher who didn’t care what we did. Lunch was peachy. Torie and I skipped and went to Thompson’s burger place down the street. In between munching on fries and sloppy, messy burgers, we talked about school, boys, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Finally, we headed back to the school.

Math went by sooooooo slowly because of the crazy tight haired teacher who talked the whole time about nothing I was interested in.

English was next. I was looking forward to this class because my favorite teacher, Mr. Smithy, taught it. That was until he gave us seating arrangements.

“Ellie Dunham, you shall be seated with…hmm let’s see…Frank Johnsen.”

I stomped over to the seat and sat down. We barely spoke and only glared at one another that is until…
