*Four weeks later*
Ellie POV
Everything was hectic this week. It was the week before graduation and everyone was running around like a chicken with their heads cut off. There were graduation gowns to order and/or fix, finals to take, and not to mention putting the finishing touches on the wedding.
We were sitting at the kitchen table going over every detail of the wedding. I would be so happy when the whole thing was over with. Weddings are too hard to plan.
“So how many invitations are left to send?”
“Uhh let’s see,” he said looking at the list. “I count at least seven more.”
“Okay well let’s get them ready and sent out tomorrow.”
“Well I would love to stay and help but I have to go to work. It shouldn’t take you too long. I will see you when I get home. Love you.”
“Oh okay love you too.”
I walked over to the drawer where I had put the invitations and got out at least seven. I walked back over to the table and started writing out the addresses from the paper.
*fifteen minutes later*
I was finally done and the invitations were ready to be sent. Now I could finally think about the other things going on in my life. Uhh finals weren’t going to be that hard, I had all semi-easy classes. Our graduation gowns were ordered and should be here in the next couple days. Although there was something I hadn’t mentioned to Frankie yet, my period was a few days late. I think it is from all the stress of planning the wedding and getting ready for graduation. I continued to ponder it until my phone brought me back to earth.
“Hello?”
“Hey sweetie, how are you?”
“Oh hi mom, I am fine. Just finishing up the invitations.”
“Oh that’s good. So then is everything set in order then. The wedding plans are finished?”
“Yes, they are finally done. But if anything comes up, we can deal with it.”
“All right dear, I was just checking to make sure. Call if anything changes.”
“Okay mom, I will.”
“Okay bye sweetie.”
“Bye mom.”
I hung up the phone and went to lie down. I was suddenly overwhelmed with the urge to sleep. I guess the wedding plans tuckered me out.
*four hours later*
“Ellie, it’s time to wake up.”
I rolled over to see who was talking because for a moment I didn’t recognize the voice. There stood Frankie, looking at me.
“What time is it?”
“Umm about eight. Are you all right?”
“Yeah I am fine; I just got sleepy after doing the invitations.”
“Okay well I stopped by and picked up some taco bell on my way home. I tried calling you but you didn’t answer.”
“Oh sorry I didn’t mean to worry you, I was just really tired.”
“It’s okay. Let’s eat and then you can head back to bed.”
I just nodded. That sounded really good right now. Besides it was better sitting there dwelling on things that I shouldn’t think about right now.
