Chapter 22
Building Foundations
If a scent can paint a thousand images to my memory I have with him right now right now, I would never wash my sheets just to make him stay for weeks.
Marv is packing up his clothes to his training bag, preparing to go back to Isla.
He is topless sitting next to our shared bed from my Tita's room, with his hair still wet, water dripping behind his back. I watch him ever so delicately tie his shoes, hearing the waves from the open window, and thinking of possible ways not to go back from our last night's fantasies.
But we both knew what we were thinking as our eyes locked in. We did it and our relationship never felt this light... not when we were in high school.
"What?" His brows furrowed, carrying his lips.
"Nothing," I deny, "I'm going to miss you."
"Dav," almost a whisper, "you can be honest, you know,"
"I do..." alam ko agad ang tinutukoy niya. "I did like it. Yes it was painful, but... I did like it."
"I'm sorry—"
"Shh—" hiding my doubt with a giggle. "I knew you liked it too. We both did. And..."
"And next time, I'll be more gentle," he slid off from my towel and pecked a sudden kiss to my cheeks.
"Okay," I nod, take a swallow by just imagining it again, and then kisses him to his lips. I can taste our toothpaste.
"But you know, practice makes it perfect?" He offers like we're on negotiation.
"Tsk—" our lips locked as he tried to kiss me even more deeply. "This is not a sport,"
"Well, it is our sport now—" he smiles, unstoppable from kissing me.
He's never been this wild. Not since last night. And I must admit, I ain't complaining.
Until the light kisses became too intense. "Can we do the 'next time' now?"
"Tsk! You should go na! You'll have to sleep, to rest, and to review, remember?" I try to push him away but I can't seem to escape from his bouldered muscles.
"I know, I know..." he kisses my neck, easing the tension of escaping from him.
I always love his scent after a bath. There's something about him that smells so good and turns me on so bad. If he won't leave now, that 'next time' might be at the earliest.
Until the whole week became a calming routine for me.
