  ~Lars POV~ 

 The entire night, I barely got any sleep, and when I woke up, I felt completely terrible. Getting dressed, I was tired. Eating breakfast, I was tired. And just walking out the door, I was exhausted. Walking to work, I rub my eyes tiredly, still not believing yesterday. 

  So, I and Sadie are back together, I think... 

 That's good; but her dad is here...the dude who made her feel like trash. 

I clench my fists angrily, but let them go, controlling my anger. 

  Then...my 'mother' somehow found my home number, and called me wishing me a happy birthday. 

Oh yeah, I'm 17 now. 

 Whoop de doo... 

As I walk to the Big Doughnut, I see Steven hanging out with his dad, waiting for me eagerly, and then I realize that Sadie hasn't opened the shop yet. 

Weird. 

As I make it to the building, Steven runs up to me and hugs me, and I try my hardest to muffle my scream, while biting my bottom lip as hard as I can.

  Ouch!! 

THAT HURT

 Steven lets me go and says to me, 

 "I thought we'd never get doughnuts!!" I roll my eyes, and open the store with the spare key I have. As I walk in, Steven chuckles and I look at him with a glare, 

 "Lars, your shirt is backwards!" I stop walking and look down and he's right. I chuckle nervously, "I did it on purpose Steven! It's the new thing." He nods, believing me. His dad; Greg, clears his throat and looks at the doughnuts near the shelf. As I walk to the counter, He scratches his beard thinking. 

"I'd like ahhh...hm." He continues to think and I sigh, pulling up a chair, and slowly sitting down. 

  This might take awhile. 

 "I want a dozen chocolate doughnuts, with rainbow sprinkles- for me." Then Steven says, 

 "And I want one glazed please!!" I nod and get them their doughnuts. As they start to give me the money, they grab their doughnuts, and Greg starts to eat his immediately. Sprinkles get all over his beard, making Steven laugh, making him grabs a few sprinkles from one of the other doughnuts, and splattering them on his face, making his dad laugh too. Once they finally start to walk out, I start to feel envious of them. 

  Sometimes I wish I had a bond with my 'dad' like that.

I roll my eyes at my own thought. 

  Doubt that he'd even want him to call him 'dad' though.
