 I get out of the bushes, and sit on the curb. 

 I can't believe Sadie wanted to do this. 

 She's braver than I thought. 

 As I look around, I see the sun is already starting to set, I start to hear footsteps, and I turn and see Mayor Dewey. 

 "Good afternoon citizen." I give him a head nod, and he starts to sweat a bit. 

 "Why aren't you at your job? Your shift doesn't end for at least another hour-" 

 "Me and Sadies shift ended at least an hour ago..." He blinks surprised. 

 "Oh, really?" He mumbles, "How long was I checking up on everything..." 

 "Uh, Mayor Dewey? Why were you running around?" He starts to smirk and bends down to me, 

 "I got a call earlier from some anonymous caller, that someone very well known and rich is coming to our little beach city!" He stands back up. 

 "So I was running around, telling everyone the news, and telling them to tidy up their businesses up a bit." I nod, still kinda confused. 

 "Who'd just come to our town?" I ask him, and he just shrugs and chuckles nervously. 

 "Doesn't matter! They're rich and that's gonna help getting the word of our town around!" As I get up, I hear aloud crashing sound, coming from Sadie's house. Me and Mayor Dewey turn and I spot things being thrown from Sadie's bedroom window; and my gut starts to turn. Then the noises stop, but then suddenly, Sadie and Daren burst out of the front door, and there in the middle of a fight, and Sadies on top of him, punching his face. 

 "You don't ever. Ever. Treat me and my mom like that. You. Hear. Me?" He then picks her up and throws her off of him and she falls to the ground with a thud, but still gets up. Mayor Dewey ran off and I quickly take out my phone and dial 9-1-1. But as I do, Daren spots me, and growls. 

 "You..."I gasp softly as he charges for me and tackles me to the ground; making my phone fall out of my hands and to the ground as well. Before I knew what was happening, Daren was trying to punch me but I gripped his fist, and I hold it still. 

 How am I doing this!?

 I hear a confused Sadie say, "L-Lars?" 

 "Sadie! Get my phone, and run!" Daren look towards Sadie as she wobbles to my phone and picks it up, then looks at the both of us. As I feel Daren trying to wiggle free, I feel my adrenaline kick in and I growl as I turn us over and pin him down. Looking up to Sadie, I yell, 

 "Run Sadie, RUN!" As she nods to me, she somehow picks up speed and sprints away. Daren looks at me with pure hatred and anger, 

 "You little-" I then quick punch him in the face as hard as I can, then giving him a hard kick in the crotch, and then getting up and looking down at him. 

 "Come get us you big bully." I say with a smirk and I start to run after Sadie, not wanting to look back at the mad bull about to chase us. 

 ~Sadies POV~ 

 I turn Lars phone back on as I run as fast as I could. 

 "Come on, come on!" As someone picks up the phone, I start to explain the whole situation. 

 "Okay miss, we'll send the police to you as soon as possible." The lady says, and I hang up. As I run, I see people coming out of houses and watching me run, and follow, a bit concerned because how beat up I look. Daren missed the first time he tried to punch me, but then got me good the second time. But I also did pretty well to him too, which I'm proud of. 

 "Sadie!" I hear Lars yell to me as I turn around. I see Lars running almost as fast as me and worry is plastered on his face. Slowing down a bit, he quickly grabs my hand and pulls me with him. 

 "We are going; now." He says, and before I could ask why, I see that Daren is chasing the both of us. With what's left of my speed, I start to run as fast as I could, trying to run beside Lars. 

 Where are we even going to go!? 

 Suddenly,I see a big crowd of people surrounding Mayor Dewey as he's making a speech to everyone. As we start to make it closer to everyone, Daren yells at us, 

 "Get back here! I'm gonna kill you two brats!!" everyone turns to us as we run into the crowd, stopping in front of them, and I see my mom in the middle of them. 

 "Sadie?"she asks. Before I could answer, I fall to the ground, weak in the legs, and so does Lars. But it wasn't a quick break because suddenly, we are both lifted by our shirts. 

 "Now you two are gonna get it!" I hear Daren threaten us, but suddenly, we are dropped to the ground as Daren is pinned. 

 "Beach City police!" The officer yells at Daren, putting a pair of handcuffs on him. Good timing. As Lars gets up, he also helps me. 

 "No!No!" Daren yells, trying to fight the cops, but they hold him straight as they pull him into their cop car. As the other officer slams the door shut, I'm pretty sure my mom, Lars and I had the weights lifted off our shoulders, knowing he wouldn't bother us anymore. 

 "Ah- Look!" Mayor Dewey says,pointing to a long limo starting to drive towards us. As the cop car pulls away, and the sun starts to rise up, the limo pulls up. Looking up at Lars, I see his face is pale, and he grips my hand. As the fancy limo parks, one of the doors open. 

 "Good evening, darlings!"
