Sadies POV
I suddenly spring up in bed. My lungs are gasping for breath and I feel light headed.
Oh my...GOD, what happened?
I look at my clock and I see it's time for me to get up for work. Getting up, my mind is going insane. A thousand images pop into my mind, but I ignore them.
I was just dreaming.
I'm fully dressed now, and I start to run downstairs to the front door. My toms slip on with ease and I slip on my red jacket, and I open the front door. I inhale the sea air, and I smile softly. It's a cool Monday morning, which is rare, because it's usually burning hot out. As I walk to work, I look around Beach City. The beach is oddly empty, instead of being packed with people.
As I walk, this all seems really familiar. But I have remind myself the task at hand; having to go to work, so I keep walking. I adjust my red hood and I bury my hands in my jacket pockets. I start to go into my thoughts of what happened earlier this month.
Woah, it was only a month ago
Being trapped on that magical island, and me beating up an invisible beast. I stare at my arm, which is all better. But what kept getting into my head, was Lars. The way he got closer and closer to me, and the way he kissed me. Shivering from the memory, I hug myself. After awhile of walking, I make it to the Big Donut. I open the door and it 'dings', and I switch on the lights, hang up my coat on the coat hanger. I sigh,
"Lets get this day over with." I say softly as I grab a broom and I start to sweep the floors. As I sweep, I imagine Lars running in, with a shocked and happy expression plastered on his face and saying to me,
'Sadie, I've been blind! I never realized I needed you in my life! You're the thing that keeps me going, and I need you; I love you!'
But, I just felt like that will never happen. How could he love me? I'm uncool, and a loner, not to mention a loser. Suddenly, I hear the 'ding' of the door and I turn around to see Lars, his hands stuffed in his pockets and coat collar up.
"Oh- morning L-." As we lock eyes, the dream comes to my mind and all these memories come to my mind, hitting me like a train.
Lars and I.
It...it couldn't have been a dream.
It felt so real.
He blinks and stops looking at me, blushing. He then hangs his coat up and keeps quiet. He has barely spoken to me since we got back. Even though I saved his life, I really deserve some recognition. I almost died for him, for petes sake!
He hums as he goes to the counter and swaying slightly, trying to act cool, making me smirk and I watch him. Suddenly, he yells, sliding over the counter,
"IT'S MR. STEAL YO GIRL!!" but then falls on the other side on his back with a loud thud.
This...this is déjà vu 100%.
I gasp, letting go of the broom and it falls with a clank. I run to the other side of the counter, and I see Lars, sprawled on the floor. I kneel to his side,
"You OK?" his hair starts to fall in his face, and he blows it away and sighs,
"Yeah I guess." he slowly gets up and I help him, but he jerks his arm away forcefully, and glares at the counter.
"I was only trying to help." I say a bit hurt, and he turns to me. Slowly he opens his mouth to speak, but I turn away. He hangs his head and rubs the back of his neck.
