~F-O-U-R-T-Y-N-I-N-E~ Section Three

~Sadies POV~

The crowd stares at the person getting out.

She's tall, pale and skinny. She wears a fancy red dress and gold high heels, with a fox fur draped around her shoulders. A dark pair of shades covers her eyes and she has bleach blond hair in a bob hair cut.

Mayor Dewey pushes through the crowd to get to the lady, and he says to her as the sweat stains from his pits starts to reach the end of his shirt.

"Welcome to Beach City-"

"Mrs. Voltcher." Mayor Dewey nods, and then another person makes it out of the limo, but out of the driver's seat.

He is also pretty tall and wears a formal suit. His hair is light brown and is a buzz cut, and his eyes are a crystal green.

"A-And I'm Mr. Voltcher." The man says nervously to Mayor Dewey. As the two people make it closer to the crowd, I can feel Lars trying to pull me into the crowd, but I stay stiff.

"So..." The woman smacks her lips, and their a blood red shade. "This is all the people?" I look up at Lars and he's almost as pale as the lady.

Suddenly, The man looks at Lars and says, "Lars?" I can clear hear Lars gulp as he grips my hand tighter. The lady gasps and walks towards us, her heals clicking on the side walk. She touches Lars cheeks and he leans back a bit.

"It is, Lars!" The man follows behind.

"H-Hi Mary." Lars looks behind Mary to the man. "Hi Thomas." The lady laughs softly.

"Lars, darling. You should really start calling us mom and dad." I feel my heart thud hard against my chest.

That's his parents?

"Y-Yes...m-mother." 

"Now come Lars, let us leave."

Leave...?

 As she starts to turn, Lars says sternly.

"No." Mary stops, and turns to us. I look at Thomas and he has the look of worry.

"What?" 

"I said; no." The people in the crowd starts to mumble to each other, and I know that's driving Lars mad a bit. 

"Lars, that's an order- now let's leave this...lovely place."

Before I could speak up, a loud screech fills the air, and we all look to the giant, menacing beast running from the beach near Stevens house. The Voltchers are completely terrified and shocked as the monster runs towards us. Everyone takes a few big steps back and we drag Lars parents with us, and then suddenly, the beast steps on the limo, crushing it to pieces.

"Uh-oh..." Lars says softly.

Then, the Crystal Gems fall from the sky onto the already crushed limo, making the damage worse, and the rubble starts to smoke as the jump off to the monster, trying to destroy it.

"Oh...my..." Mrs. Voltcher says, but then the limo finally explodes, and all that's left is the fire. Trailing behind the gems is Steven.

"G-Guys!! W-W...Wait!" Steven pants as he stops to take a breather. As he stops, he sees the fire, and then turns to the traumatized visitors.

"Um-" Steven says, straightening up. "Hello, my names Steven."

~Lars POV~

Slowly, I let go of Sadies hand, and look to Mayor Dewey.

"Tell everyone to go home, quick." He nods and yells on his handy megaphone.

"Nothing to see here! Back to your homes and businesses!" Everyone shrugs what happened off; since we're so used to it, and everyone leaves along with Mayor Dewey; and me and Sadie, along with my parents are left.

"You...you..." My mother says to Steven.

"YOU DESTROYED MY BEST LIMO!" Steven gulps and starts to sweat.

"I-I'm sorry." As she looks like she's gonna explode, my father clears his throat, and she stops.

"Never mind...little one- go and play with the sand." Steven looks towards us confused, then bolts off.

"You can't take Lars!" I hear Sadie yell, and I feel like crawling into a hole.

"Oh- and you are little one?" Sadie looks at her with wide eyes.

"I'm 16 Mrs. Voltcher; and you can't take Lars! He loves it here!" 

"Well we are, and there's nothing you can-" 

"U-Um...d-dear?" My father says, and stops talking.

"our belongings were in the limo.." She turns to him.

"E-Everything?" He slowly nods. She lets out a groan and takes off her shades, showing her cold brown eyes.

"Well...I guess we can't leave; since we have no money with us to leave, or our phones to call for help; we'll have to stay until someone comes." Sadie loosens up a bit.

"Lars-" My mom says and I turn stiff.

"Take us to where you've been for the past...years." I slowly nod and put my head down.

"Lars-" I hear Sadie whisper to me, and I look at her,

"I'm going home to see if my moms okay, got it?" I nod and she gets on her toes and kisses my cheek, and runs off.

"Lars-" I hear my father ask.

"Yeah?" I hear their fancy shoes start to click, so I know their walking, so I quickly catch up and look up.

"Who was that?" He continues. I feel the sweat on my head starts to come back, even though the weather is starting to get cold.

What do I say!?

"Uh..." I panic, and say "She's a friend." They don't try to pry me for more information.

Uh oh...

'A friend'!?

Sadie's not gonna like that...

If she finds out...

LOOK, I'M SUPER SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN ABOUT 4 MONTHS...BUT I JUST STARTED HIGH SCHOOL, AND IT'S ALL ABOUT WORK WORK WORK.

AND WHEN I HAVE A DAY OFF- LIKE TODAY. I'D BE ON YOUTUBE.

BUT I'VE MOVED STUFF AROUND AND I MIGHT- MIGHT...BE ABLE TO UPDATE AGAIN LATER..

BUT SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH MY LAPTOP SO I CAN COPY AND PASTE.

SO IT MIGHT TAKE AWHILE.

AND I'M JUST SO SO SO SO SORRY I'VE BEEN AFK FOR SO LONG

I FEEL SUPER BAD, AND EVEN WORSE THAT THIS IS SO SHORT...
