Sadies POV

I feel warm gravel against my cheek. Very rough and uncomfortable.

Ugh

I open my eyes, and images of the last few minutes come to my mind. I gasp,

Where's Lars?!

Sitting up, I see him beside me. I crawl to him. Then; I punch him in the gut. He quickly wakes up and groans in pain.

"You, IDIOT!" I yell, "what's wrong with you?!"

"You-" Lars coughs, "you wouldn't follow me even if I begged. I-I had no choice."

"You DID, Lars! You could've just let it go! And now we're back to 10 years in the future!" I look around me, and the town doesn't seem like it was before. More, dull.

Huh?

"Do you see it, Sadie?" Lars says, getting up. "The town isn't the same!"

"Maybe, maybe it's just cause of the time of day." I slowly stand and Lars grabs my hand, getting up also.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to find future me."

"Maybe I'll be with you-" Lars starts, but I cut him off, saying,

"We're not together anymore- so I highly DOUBT it." I snatch my hand back, "Meet me back here by the end of the day; hopefully the portal will be open by then..." With that; I start to walk off, not wanting to look back.

I go into my thoughts as I walk.

Lars is such an idiot!

Why did he think bringing me with him to the future would HELP?

After about 5 minutes of walking around future Beach City, there's still no sign of anyone.

Where is everyone, anyway?

Are they all on a vacation, or.....???

Suddenly, I see a man walking towards me. He's muscular and tall. He has long curly blond hair, tied in a man bun. He spots me first, saying, "Sadie...?" I stop, and he continues to walk to me. He's in front of me now. But I still don't recognize him.

"Uh- hi?"

"Sadie- it's me! Ronaldo!" I blink and I automatically realize it IS Ronaldo. Just older and...manlier.

"Oh my gosh!" I say, slightly surprised.

He's changed a lot.

I feel a blush come onto my face as he hugs me.

Once he lets me go, he asks why I'm here. So, I tell him my whole dilemma.

"Oh, wow." He says, "I'm so sorry to hear about you and Lars..." I shrug.

"I'll be fine; but for now, I'm focused on finding future me." He smirks,

"I know where she is." Ronaldo gives me an address, and I memorize it.

"Thanks, Ronaldo!" I say, giving him a wave as I walk past.

"See ya soon, Sadie!" He says back, continue walking to where ever he was heading to originally.

Wait

What does, 'see you soon' mean?

When I make it to the address Ronaldo gave me, I see a house. I glance at the mailbox, and it has 'Fryman' on it.

Why did he give me his address?
