~Sadies POV~

As I throw away the last piece of glass, I let out a tired breath.

That took longer than excepted.

As I head to go to my room for just a small nap, I walk past the bathroom door, and I get an urge of curiousity to look at my reflection. Opening the door slowly, I flip on the light and close the door behind me, but look at the knob.

3...2...1

I look up at the mirror and I slightly regret it.

My left eye is blackened and my nose is covered in dried blood, and my right cheek is purpled.

Dang

Lifting up my chin I wince in pain, seeing he got a good punch at me. Then looking down, I see my knuckles are all bloody for Daren.

But I got him back for sure.

I start to see him in a cell at a jail; his face all busted up and not so prissy. His nose is pointed side ways and a tooth is loose and another is missing. Half of his face is swelling up and drool falls down his lip. 

"Sadie!?" I hear Lars yell, bringing me out of my imagination. 

I open the door and turn off the light, head to the front door, and Lars is trying to pull the door open, in a rush.

"Hey...Lars?" I say, not sure why he's in a rush to see me. I look at his face and his right eye is swelling up and he has a busted lip.

"You okay!?" He asks me and I blink slightly surprised.

"Uh; yeah...? why?" He pants softly.

"Just curious." He gets the door open (pushing it), and I step out.

"Lets go somewhere!" He says, grabbing my hand and leads me outside.

"What's going on with you Lars?" I ask, giggling faintly. "You seem different."

"No, I'm perfectly fine." He says to me, holding my hand firmly now. After 5 minutes of walking, he asks me.

"What do you want to do?" 

"What do you mean?" I ask "You wanted me for something." He slaps his forehead and winces softly.

"OH yeah! DUH!" I laugh at him.

I wonder what he's up too.

I look at him as we start to loose track in time, and his eyes glow as he stares at the moon and stars.

I wonder what he's thinking about.

He looks down at me and grins devilishly, and suddenly swoops me up and holds me bridal style and runs, and we make it to the board walk faster then excepted.

All the stars shine brightly on us and Lars sets me down on my feet and we go down the wooden stairs to the beach, and I feel the sand sink in between my toes. We walk a little closer to the ocean; but we stop at the shoreline.

"Why did you stop?" I start to ask, but he silences me with a kiss. When he pulls off, he's smiling, making me blush deeply.

"W-Why are you smiling?" 

~Lars POV~

I couldn't help but smile. Literally; I couldn't.

Why are you smiling, idiot!?

I stop and shrug.

"I'm just glad you're safe..." I look at her bruised face, and feel terrible.

"If I would have objected and did the secret tape for you...you might not have gotten this badly hurt-" she strokes my hand with her thumb.

"No, Lars, it's fine..." 

"It's not." I say, stopping her. "I want to protect you and be the MAN in the relationship! But I'm pathetic in most of the heroic things I do..." 

"But you saved me more than once; like today." I shrug, not really seeing the 'saving' in it. I look down at her and she's staring up at me, and it's all quiet around us...

Until; we heard a big boom, making us jump slightly.

"What the-" Sadie looks at Stevens near by house.

"It's coming from there!" Sadie grips my hand and starts to run before I do.

Of course, Steven steals my thunder...

As we make it to the stairs, Sadie tries to skip a step at a time, but fails, so goes up it normally. 

Making it to the door, we bust it open and cough, smelling smoke.

"Steven!?" Sadie yells.

"Hello?" I say, stepping inside, and we suddenly see Steven.

"Wow Pearl! It works!" I see Steven jumping in glee as the three gems stare at a big blue and grey swirling portal.

"H-How did this..." Pearl is able to stutter, and Amethyst laughs.

"Wow, Pearl! I'm surprised you didn't blow up the house to the skies!!" Garnet says, sternly, making the purple girl quiet,

"Does it actually work though?" As the gems converse, Steven notices us.

"Hey Larsadie!" He says, giggling softly, and I roll my eyes.

"What's going on, Steven?" Sadie asks, confused.

"Well, Pearl was working on my birthday present and it was supposed to be a secret! But I know it now!"

"What?" I ask, not really interested.

"A time machine...portal...thingy." 

"WOW!" Sadie says, believing everything. I start to laugh.

"Right..." I let go of Sadies hand and go towards the portal, feeling cocky.

"If this is a portal...how about this." Turning to the portal, I yell at it.

"Portal! Take us 10 years in the future!" Pearl yells,

"NO NO!" Garnet adds,

"Are you crazy!?" And Amethyst says,

"We're so dead!!" Suddenly, I hear a mysterious voice speak back,

"Destination 10 years in the future' confirmed! Get ready!"

And the next thing that happened, everything turned bright white, and I felt the world change around me, and I heard Sadie scream in panic

I need to keep my mouth shut sometimes...
