~Lars POV~ 

When it's finally time to close up, I still can't stop thinking about what happened earlier. It all happened suddenly. 

 I try to take a nap, leaning back in the chair, keeping my balance; easily. Suddenly, I start to hear Sadie talking to someone. 

 "It's just about Lars...he said something to me, and it just broke my heart. And I'm not sure if I should forgive him yet." 

I feel my skin go cold. I slowly lean farther back, trying to hear clearer. 

 "You can't let anyone make you feel like garbage...even him." I lean back even more, stretching my legs out fully. 

 "I don't know Amethyst. I...I don't hate him. I just-" Then I feel my chair lean back to far, and I fall back with my chair, onto the floor with a loud thud.

I couldn't tell Sadie I was listening to hear conversation. She'd think I was a huge creep. I go out the back door, twirling my keys around my finger. 

 "Come on Sade, I'm gonna lock you in!!" I hear her giggle, 

 "Just hold on!" I chuckle, missing that laugh of hers. Sadie opens the door and adjusts her new hoodie. 

 "Nice hoodie." I look at it and it's a big baggy hoodie, with a palm tree, on a small island. 

 "Thanks, I found it on my porch steps early this morning." I raise an eyebrow as we start to walk, and I quickly lock the door behind me, before I she leaves me behind. I then say to her. 

 "Who gave it to you?" She shrugs. 

 "I don't really know exactly. But it was folded neatly on the porch, and I saw a note on it and it said, 'I will see you soon, I miss you.' But with no name." I clench my fists, and I quickly hide them in my jacket pockets. 

 "Aren't you concerned?" She looks up at me, 

 "No, not really. Why, are you scared for me?" She puts on a smug look, and I roll my eyes, trying not to look too concerned. 

 "What if it's a secret admirer?" I bite my bottom lip. 

 "Look Lars..." She says, "If you are worried about me, I'm fine, ok? I know you're trying to care about me now." I go silent. 

 "And you don't have to try, ok." She suddenly stops walking, and I stop beside her. 

 "If you're trying to do something, just...take it slow...you really hurt me." I nod slowly, 

 "A-And I'm so sorry." Sadie nods back. 

 "I forgive you, but I just want to be friends for right now ok." Before I could even say anything, she engulfs me in a hug, making me step back one step. 

 "See you tomorrow." And with that, she sprints to her house the rest of the way. 

 "Bye-" Suddenly, it hits me. 

  Wait. 

 She said she just wants to be friends- '

For right now'. 

I smile wide and start to walk the rest of the way to my house.

~SadiesPOV~ 

I suddenly stop right at the three steps to my porch, and I let out a breath; taking each steps slowly. Then I open the door and slam it behind me. 

 "Hi honey!"I turn and see my mom walking towards me, and I blink, surprised. She is all dressed up. 

"Uh, hi ma. What are you doing all dressed up?" I feel so awkward, not really seeing my mom so different looking. She puffs up her hair and smiles. 

 "I'm going on a blind date." I raise an eyebrow.

 "Haven't you heard of 'cat fishing'?" She giggles and fixes my hair and I scrunch up my nose, not liking how she's fixing it. 

 "I'm gonna be just fine Sadie, don't worry. He seems really nice." 

 "Seems? You haven't met the guy yet?" She shrugs. 

 "No, but it seems he kinda knows me." I let out a soft groan, 

 "Mom, what if this dude is a stalker or something!?" She groans back at me,

 "Don't be like this Sadie, I'm going to be late!" 

 "But mom! I'm worried about this-" 

 "No buts!" As I open my mouth to object, but she then hugs me, putting me to the side, and she opens the door. 

 "Love you!" Then she leaves hurriedly, excited and in a rush. I close the door and I take off my hoodie and I go to my living room. 

I guess this is how Lars felt, So I guess that's how you act when you are worried for someone you care about. 

AsI sit on the couch, I gasp faintly.

Cared... 

As I turn the TV on, I start to think about Lars. 

Maybe he still does care... 

I start to flip through the channels,

I still need time to think about this... 

 I'm just not ready for 'Larsadie' again.
