A date.
That was what Seojun had asked of Kang Soojin.
A date!
That was all Soojin thought of ever since she parted from Seojun decades back. The date which she promised him, the date which never happened.
"Um, what are you wearing?"
Soojin looked down at her clothes. It was a simple brown top over beige pants. Her hair pinned in a loose bun, her black sneakers ready to take her for a run.
"Clothes?"
Jugyeong and Suah shared a look of disbelief. They were excited when Soojin told them about the impromptu date that Seojun had asked her out on. However, all of that washed away when Soojin stepped out in her simple outfit - looking plain and ordinary.
"You cannot wear that!" Suah immediately gasped, shaking her head. "Soojin-ah, dress pretty, please."
"This is pretty!" Soojin responded, liking her comfy attire. "What is wrong with it?"
"Nothing..." Jugyeong voiced softly, approaching the girl. "You look pretty."
"Thanks."
"But... this is technically your first date with Seojun."
"Yes, but I have known him forever now."
Suah groaned dramatically, pushing Soojin towards the mirror. "He has known you like a friend, a manager, a business colleague - not as Kang Soojin, the pretty girl he wants to take out on a date."
Soojin was confused. She did not understand the big deal about any of it. It wasn't like Seojun was a stranger to her, and she had to dress pretty to impress him. They had known each other for decades now. Why would she dress to impress him?
And surely, he wouldn't mind her dressing in her favourite clothes.
"You guys are weird."
"Sure..." Suah agreed, pulling out tons of outfits from the closet. "But you are not leaving this room until we say that you can."
"No!" Soojin shook her head, crying when she saw the pile of clothes on the bed. "You guys cannot be serious."
"Oh, but we are..." Jugyeong shared an evil grin with Suah, something Soojin thought the former was not capable of. "Suah, lock the door. We need to get the princess ready."
Suah grinned, locking the door, and Jugyeong immediately took a couple of dresses from the huge pile. They approached the girl who was now regretting telling them about the date.
Only an act of God could help her now.
A knock on the door interrupted their ordeal, and Soojin was pleased to see Lee Suho greet them, a smile on his face and coffee in his arms.
"Lee Su..." Soojin immediately walked towards the guy, hoping to get some help. "Please, you have to save me from these two."
"Oh..." Suho said, shielding Soojin behind him. "What is the matter?"
Suah thanked the man and took the tray from his hand while Jugyeong explained the situation to him. Suho listened intently to both parties and gave a hard look at Soojin's clothes.
