Chapter 3 : The team selection

Third person point of view...

The Hokage and the jonins were looking through the glass ball... at the new transfer student who had surprised them all with her exceptional marks in theory and taijutsu.

"So as you can see, Akame is yet to be put into a team. Who would like to have her on their team?"

None of the hands went up... She might be smart and have great stamina... But inability to use ninjutsu or genjitsu would be hard...besides even her style of taijutsu was different from the ones they had seen.

Asuma was already incharge of the ino-shika-chouji team... A combination that has been followed for years, Akame's presence would hinder them.

Kurenai's team was a tracker... So Akame who has no tracking skills would be a misfit.

The Hokage noticed their hesitation and concluded that he would have to decide her team for her.

"So students, congratulations on becoming a genin. Without further ado I will announce the team selection. But remember there will be one team with four members..."

When these teams are formed, they consist of three genins and one jonin i.e a four man squad, but since there was one extra student, one team would end up becoming a five man squad with four genins and one jonin.

These teams were important since they would do all their missions in the future together...

Akame looked around. Naruto was happy to be with Sakura and Sakura was happy to be with Sasuke. Sasuke was completely bored and looked outside the classroom. They were allotted room no 409 to meet up with Kakashi-sensei.

Outside the apartment...

Kakashi and the Hokage entered into Naruto's house. It had minimal furniture and a lot of 'ready to eat' food like cup ramen. The milk was past its expiry date. So he didn't have anyone to take care of him...

Sakura's home was cheerful and bubbly. Her mother was just like sakura...hyper active. She has had a completely pampered childhood.

Sasuke's apartment was of blue theme. The room was neat and the entire room was filled with scrolls and the remaining heirlooms of the Uchiha family.

Akame's room was completely red and black themed... Almost quite scary. It had traps everywhere...the likes of which Kakashi had not seen anywhere. They were so complex that even he, who was a jonin had trouble avoiding them... It was with the Hokage's help that he could steer clear of the traps. There were no signs of books or scrolls or weapons! How did she ace the theory exam then? No way... A child so young knew things that a ninja knows from experience? Just who is she?
