Chapter 30: Loke

Natsu's POV

The next day Lucy, Ashley and I, together with Loke, went back to Paris to visit uncle Jude. I've been silent throughout the whole trip. I just can't find the words to say about the loss of the twins. It was an accident and I can't blame my dad for it.

I am seated beside Lucy across Loke and Ashley. My emotions are confused now. I'm happy that I reconciled with Lucy again. But I don't know what I will feel the moment I saw uncle Jude. Everything wouldn't have been like this if he just moved on of what happen. But I still can't blame him for that. Aghh. I don't know what to feel anymore.

I look outside the window of the plane and its night already. Everything is black and I can see the moon from this side. It's beautiful. I look at Lucy and she's also looking at me. I smiled at her and she smile back.

"Is something bothering you? You can talk to me if you want. I can't sleep also. If you want to talk let's move in front of the plane." I smile on her and nod as a response.

She stood up and I followed her on the front seat far from Loke and Ashley. I seat beside her and she just looks at me with those beautiful eyes that I long for 6 years.

"Thank you Princess. Okay, let's talk. I miss talking to you. I'm sorry if I'm not talking the whole day." I said, she just gave me a surprise look and keeps on staring at me for a moment.

"Hey, why are you staring at me like that?" I asked awkwardly. She snaps back to reality and turns her head in front.

"Nothing. I'm sorry. I just missed being called 'Princess' coming from you." She said while slightly smiling. I hold unto her head and kiss the top of it.

"Then I'll call you Princess from now on." I said and smiles at her

"Hey, don't tease me like that!" she yelp

"Shhh.. You might wake them up." I whispered

"Sorry." She said. There's a long moment of silence between the two of us. I just hold her hand the whole time.

"Lucy, the truth is I don't know how I will face you after finding out the truth about the past. I feel sorry for your loss but I also feel a bit of anger at uncle Jude." I said without looking at her

"It's neither your fault Natsu nor uncle Igneel. It was an accident. My father just can't move on that's why he made such thing to us. I'm also a bit angry at him because instead to make me happy, he make my life miserable without you." she said and intertwined her hand to mine. She smiled at me and lean her head unto my shoulder.

"I promise I'll make it up to you, for those past 6 years without you by my side. I will spend every minute of my life from now on with you. I love you very much Lucy." I said as I rub her hair and kiss her head again.

"I love you too Natsu. I really missed you so much." she said and suddenly leans on my lips and kissed me. I was surprised because I miss her lips, I miss her kiss, and I miss her so bad. That's why I'm so happy with her now. This is my first kiss with her again after those 6 years gap. I return back her kiss and pull her closer to me to deepen up the kiss. We parted after a minute and I hug her and leans back her head into my shoulders and we sleep together like that.

The next morning we arrived finally in Paris, France. We went to where uncle Jude is. I don't know if I can face him after finding out the truth so I decided not to go into his room first. Ashley and Lucy went inside and they are probably happy being reunited together again. I heard from Ashley that he didn't even contact them these past years. I'm here outside the hospital room with Loke. None of us has said a single word since the twins went inside.

"Are you not really going in?" Loke said

"I don't know what I will say to him if I do." I said

"Do you remember during high school that I always pick up on you?" he suddenly brings up a weird topic

"What is this all of a sudden?" I said

"I remember how you stood up to Lucy back then. We just viewed you as a nerd and weak. But when the time you fought Gajeel just to save Lucy, I change my perspective on you. I know you can also fight for your relationship with Lucy if you really love her." Loke said looking at me with those grinning eyes

"You're not weak as you are before Natsu, so don't be a scaredy-cat. If you endured those past 6 years just to make your future with her, why can't you face your present and fight for it now that you know what really means to you. It's not the past that matters it is the present that matters!" Did Loke just make me realize something important now? I was surprised to get some encouraging words from him. To the person I least expects to give me.

I laugh for a bit." I don't expect you to give me such lecture. But anyway thanks. I think you are right. Thank you Loke." I thank him while holding the door knob

"Just get your ass inside...stupid." He said and I went inside.

"There he is." Ashley said. "We are going now Papa." Lucy said and they both went out the room. Now Uncle Jude and I are the only ones inside.

"Natsu..."he said
