Chapter 35: Final Job

2 months later~

"Everyone, I just want to tell you something." Lucy said when she comes to the office really late

"Lucy-chan, why are you late? Sir. Natsu has been looking for you since this morning!" Sam said really worried

"Don't worry about him. I came here to tell you guys something really important." Lucy said again that makes everyone's attention came into her

"What is it?" they asked

"I'm resigning today." Lucy said that surprised everyone

"What?! You're resigning? But why?" Sam asked

"My company really needs me now and I need to take care of it. Beside I've already finished the 5 month contract." Lucy said and Sam begun on crying on her shoulders

"I'm going to miss you very much Lucy-chan! Whaaahhahaha!!!!" Sam cried. Her other officemates also came to Lucy and asked her about her sudden resignation.

Natsu came out of his room and saw Lucy with the other employees. He went to them and everyone behave themselves including Sam while wiping her tears.

"Lucy, do you really need to resign?" Natsu asked

"We already talked about this right? It's not like we are not going to see each other anymore." Lucy said to Natsu and her office mates " I'm still going to visit you guys and Sam, we are best friends here. We can see each other whenever you want to." She said comforting Sam

"Really?!" Sam enlightened with joy on her face

"Yeah." Lucy smiled

"Everyone get back to work." Natsu said and everyone went back to their stations "Sam, you come with me at my office." Natsu said and she followed Natsu with Lucy.

Everyone in the office already knows about their relationship. At first, they can't believe that they've became a couple for real. Sam is the happiest when they've announce that they are officially a couple.

Going back to the office, Natsu seated on his chair and Lucy and Sam seated in front of his table.

"Sam, we need to tell you something." Natsu said seriously. Sam looked at Lucy uneasy and uncomfortable because of the atmosphere. Lucy's expression suddenly becomes low, so is Natsu.

"W-what is it Sir. Natsu?" Sam asked nervously

"Sam...I'm sorry to tell you this but you need to step down being the secretary." Natsu said

"What??? What? Why?! But why Sir. Natsu? Lucy-chan? What did I do? Sir. Natsu this is my only job! And I love my job so please don't fire me Sir. I am doing my best every day to keep the company in order. And Sir. I will also do my best in the future! Just please don't take away my job!" Sam said crying while reaching Natsu's hand

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Sam stop crying! I told you this is not a great idea!" Natsu said looking at Lucy with crossed eyebrows. Lucy laughs as hard as she can while holding her tummy. Sam was only looking at Natsu and Lucy with confusion.

"W-what's going on?" Sam asked

"I'm sorry Sam. It was a prank. It was Lucy's idea. But the truth is you really need to step down from being my secretary, because you are going to be my new Executive Assistant from now on." Natsu said

"Does that mean that?" Sam asked having a smile on her face

"Yes, you are promoted!" Lucy said with enthusiasm

"Thank you Sir. Natsu! You don't know how much this means to me!" Sam said

After work Natsu and Lucy went home together and stop by a restaurant for dinner.

"I'm gonna miss my beautiful EA in my office." Natsu said and kissed Lucy's hand

"and I'm gonna miss the most handsome boss I have!" Lucy said and pinches Natsu's cheek

"But you are not officially retired. You still have one final job under me, as your boss." Natsu said

"What is it? Sir. Natsu." Lucy teased

"Well as my EA you need to help me arrange for our wedding." Natsu said

"That's easy task Sir." Lucy said

"I'm not done yet. And when you became my wifey you need to love me for eternity like I will love you for whole eternity when I became your hubby." Natsu said and kissed Lucy on her lips

"That's easier. You don't have to order me that because that goes without saying. I love you Hubby!" Lucy said

"I love you too Wifey!" Natsu said and kissed Lucy again, but much longer this time.
