Chapter 15: Project: Win Her Back

Natsu's POV

Lucy said that she will pick me up at my house today. I don't want that to happen but instead the opposite, that's why I am here in front of her mansion waiting for her. I was so excited that I didn't get to sleep that's why I came here as early as 4:00 am.

I know that we are going to Korea for business but I can't help myself but to think that I can make this a chance to get closer to her and fix everything up between us. That's why I'm going to call this project by another secret name called Project: Win her back.

It's almost time for Lucy to go to my house. I saw her car already and the gates opened. She stops beside my car and I went out and she did the same.

"Sir. Natsu why are you here so early?" She asked

"I don't want my EA to pick me up that's why I am doing it for her." I said and cough a little

"You don't have to do that."

"I insist. Why don't you leave your car here and take my car instead. I will make Sam pick up my car later." I said

"Okay Sir." She said and gets her things on her car and brings it over to mine. I helped her to bring her car back at the mansion. After that I drive us to the airport.

I can't help but to look at her every now and then. She's not getting angry at me anymore whenever I talk to her.

"Do you want to stop by first to get some coffee?" I asked

"Sure Sir. if you want to." She accepted. I look for a stop shop and we went in a coffee shop and buy a take-out coffee.

"Here." I handed her the coffee I bought for her

"Thank you." She said and smiles at me. I was surprised to see her smile to me again

"sir.? Sir Natsu? Let's go." She said that snap me out of my thoughts

"Ah- okay." I said and we both went in to my car.

"Do you want to listen to the radio?" I asked

"Do what you want sir. I'm fine with anything." She said. Maybe she's only doing this because she is my EA. I turned on the radio and music comes on playing.

My eyes widen while listening to the song. Lucy joins in singing with the radio. Didn't she know about this song? Didn't Ashley show her the MV that she made?

Everything is coming back again. I look at Lucy who is looking at the window. I feel like my heart was crushed of what I've done. Leaving her and coming back without her knowing.

I turn off the radio and she turned my head on me.

"Why did you turn it off?" she asked

"I'm sorry I just felt like it." I said without looking at her. I tighten the grip of my hands on the stirring wheel

"But I love this song. Ashley is the one that give me this song." I suddenly turn my head to look at her

"What? Did she show you something with this song?" I asked. She narrowed her eyes on me. "No...why?"

"Nothing...I'm sorry." I said and turn back on the radio

"I was just curious...Is this song remember you of something?" she asked out of the blue. I suddenly hit the break.

"Yes I do...but I can't tell you because it will be a reason for you to hate me more." I mumble under my breath. I don't think she heard it.

"Did you say something? And why did you stop all of a sudden?"

"I'm sorry it's nothing. We are almost at the airport." I said and continued on driving

We arrived at the airport and we are just going to wait for our plane to arrive.

"Since when did you get rid of your motion sickness?" I was really really surprised at her today. She is the one starting conversations now about me. I don't know what I should think anymore.

"4 years ago. My friend helps me to cure it. "

"Lots of things really have change during those 6 years huh?" She said. I want to ask her badly why is she doing this? I'm really confused at her now.

"Ah Lucy—"

"It's time for our flight. Let's get ready." She said even before I said anything. I just go with her and didn't say anything anymore.

I know I've done something unforgivable, but I'm still hoping for you to forgive me. But not that easily, I'm getting confused on your actions now. I don't know why you are doing this. Maybe you really intend to confuse me. That way I can pay back the pain that I've caused you.

"What are you spacing out about let's go." She said and grabs my wrist. My heart skip a bit as we walk together and her holding my arm.
