Chapter 13- Honesty

*Destiny's POV*

Yesterday scared the shit out of me. Even though I've only known Stephen for a few months, seeing the two people I care about the most on the verge of tears because of his well being, really hurt me. I've never seen Tae cry like that. Even though Tae and Stephen's relationship is pretty rocky and weird, I can tell by the way she looked and cried yesterday that she really cares about him. They're still not together, but there's still chemistry there. You can feel it in the room when they're together. Almost like they love each other. I don't think they do just yet, but I could be wrong. It's just the way he looks at her. It's the most adorable thing in the world. I'm happy for them & I wish they would just be together already.

"What ya thinking about?" Klay says as he plops down on my bed next to me interrupting my thought process.

"School, why?" I say as I sit up.

"Why are you thinking about school? That's so depressing. He says as he takes a bite out of an apple.

"Cause it's Sunday, and that means my weekend is over and I have to go back to school tomorrow. And weekdays I can't spend as much time with you.

"Aw baby, we still have our weekends and when I spend the night sometimes on weekdays" he says grabbing me and bring me close.

"I know baby, but I want you near me all the time. You're mine." I say bringing my lips to his. We kiss for a while and he pulls back for a minute.

"What's wrong?" I say Confused.

"Me and Stephen have to tell you guys something." he says getting up.

"Anything." I say quickly.

"Let's go see what they're doing first." he says as he walks to my door and creeps down the hallway. I'm not too far behind him. We peek our heads around the corner only to find Tae And Stephen snuggled together. Her on top and she's sleep, he's gently playing with her hair. She literally hasn't let him go since he got out of the hospital.

"TOO CUTE! " Klay screams, scaring Tae out of her sleep and she almost tumbles to the ground.

"Why." I say as we all look at Klay with a blank expression.

"Now would be a good time to tell them." Klay says.

"Tell them what?" Stephen says.

"About hmm hmm" Klay says trailing off

"Oh yeah, uh guys we have to tell you something, and ask a favor." Stephen says calmly.

"JUST TELL US ALREADY!" I scream.

"Well, Stephen got into this big argument with Ayesha-" as soon as he says this, Tae rolls her eyes hella hard. "And now he has full custody of Riley."

"Really?" Tae says with her mouth open. Stephen puts his hand over her mouth and says, "Klay continue."

"Also, me and him have to go away for a game in Miami next week for the whole week and we need someone to watch over her until we get back." Klay says quickly, and him and Stephen collectively flinch.

"So we have to babysit and go to school and work?" Tae says

"She goes to Daycare during the day. You drop her off at 7:30 am And you get her at 8:00 pm. The Babysitter knows what you guys look like already. They have pictures and when you go to get her you'll need to show them your ID. Then she's all yours. Please look after my baby." Stephen says pleading.

"Wait a minute, why are you guys gonna be gone so long?" I say finally.

"We have the game against Miami and then the owner set up a mixer for us afterwards. There's just a whole bunch of events planned for us next week. And we can't take Riley with us." Klay says

"I don't mind looking after the little one, I just wish you didn't have to go away for so long. " she says while kissing Stephen.

"We'll be careful, I promise." Klay says.

"Oh I know you will." I say wrapping my arms around his neck. "Come get your goodbye gift." I say winking as I pull him back into my bedroom.

"DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD GUYS." Tae screams as we close the door.

*Stephen's POV*

"I don't know about you, but I'm not sticking around to hear and smell the ecstasy" I say laughing. "Let me take you to get some ice cream." I coaxed as I grabbed her hand and led her out the door.

"I think your Gonna like this ice cream place-" I look over to her and she's asleep already. My poor baby, hasn't slept much since I got out of the hospital. It's a miracle if she does fall asleep. So I let her sleep. I drive all the way to Los Angeles for ice cream, just to give her more time to sleep. An hour later we finally reach our destination and I calmly wake her up.
"Why are we in LaLa Land?" she asks quietly.

"I wanted to give you a little time to sleep. I noticed you've been watching over me a lot and you haven't slept much and I'm worried."

"You're so sweet Wardell." she says as she smiles. You can tell she's still half asleep because she never calls me Wardell. I help her out of the car and hold her hand as we head towards the shop. A fan notices us and screams

"IT'S STEPH CURRY AND HIS WIFE."

"No no no no no, I'm not his wife. Shhhh." Tae says trying to shush the kid up. But it's already too late, a crowd of paparazzi and fans swarm us, saying all kinds of things like

"Where's Ayesha?"
"She's a pretty one"
"She looks pretty young huh Stephen?"
"Secret Marriage?"

I take my hoodie off and place it over her head as I push through the crowd into the shop. I order mine and hers. She told me she loves cookies and cream ice cream so whenever I can, I bring her ice cream or take her out to get ice cream. I sit down in the booth and there's paparazzi by the window.

"So be honest with me." she started.

"Im always honest."

"Why haven't you asked me to be your girlfriend yet?"

This catches me off guard.

"I don't know if I want you to get all mixed up in the world I live in."

"Destiny is mixed up perfectly. She seemed to adapt well."

"I know, I just don't want you to change-"

"I love you Wardell." she interrupts.

"What?"

"I love you, I love you so much."she says as she makes a heart with her hands.

I laugh instantly. And she frowns. "You do? For real? Your not punking me?"

"Yes I love you!" she says a little too loud. "I loved you first."I say as I grab her face and bring her lips to mine. Right at that moment, I feel a flash of light on the side of my face.
