*Stephen's POV*
12am
"She did what!?" I screamed into the phone.
"She slept with one of my friends.." Devin's voice answered.
"How do you know." I asked sitting up and then looking at Klay.
"While she was attending to Riley, I went through their texts. And she sent him pictures and everything." He groans. "I took your number out her phone to ask you a question."
"What is it?" I said giving him my full attention.
"What did you do when this happened to you?"
I sighed. Should I really be delivering advice to the young man that's dating my ex-wife and has a crush on my future one?
Fuck it.
"Leave her kid. She's not worth it. Trust me."
"I think she's worth it." He sighs.
"Hey? Here's an idea.. Try finding someone a little more in your age category." Klay says next to the phone.
I really don't have time to be playing with Klay at 12:37 am
"I think I did, but she's kinda about to be married, and her husband seems pretty amazing and I could never give her the things he gives her." He says and he shuffles something, sounding like a piece of paper. "I even wrote her a poem."
I knew immediately who he was talking about and it was obvious. The entire world knew of Devin's crush on Tae and he made it that way. The kid is really romantic, but sadly... She's mine. But this could be a fun task to see what our love could overcome, so...
"You can give her love... Cause that's what she's not getting from Blake." I said, and Klay punches my arm. "Brb" I say into the phone before I put him on mute.
"Klay quit playing!"
"You quit playing!"
"Don't hit me."
"Don't be a asshole."
"Klay.."
"Wardell.."
"Okay can everyone just not call me Wardell for a few days, cause y'all have completely worn out my first name."
"Hello? Hellooooo?" Devin's voice boomed through the phone.
"ANSWER HIM." Klay nods.
"Are you gonna quit acting childish?"
"Are YOU?"
And we both eye each other for a while, and I return to my phone call.
"Hello?"
"Yeah.."
"I think you should go for it." I said quickly before Klay can retaliate, then putting him back on mute.
"Stephen stooooooop" he says popping the p.
"I'm just having a little fun.."
"Stop playing with people's hearts. Hang up the phone."
"What? No.." I said acting stubborn, but before I could continue to argue with Klay, Devin hung up himself.
