Ch. 23: Watching Hexside Havoc

"Is everyone ready to see the state of Hexside in the future?" Jss2141 asked.

"And no, it's not destroyed like burned to the ground." Mr. H added.

"Damnit." Eda muttered.

"Hey, it's a good thing it's still standing." Mr. Hardcore said.

"Because it gave the surviving students and teachers a safe haven?" Raine asked.

"Yes but minus the teachers. It's only the students that didn't get puppitized. Well, most of them." Jss2141 said.

"Anyway, shall we get on with the show?" Mr. H asked.

"Yes. Let the trauma of the future begin." Jss2141 said.

'Oh no.' Nearly everyone thought in dread.

The group walked back to Hexside in almost silence but it was a comfortable silence since they were all in high spirits because they had a way to defeat the Collector and turn everyone back! Belos was still a thought in their mind but they were all confident they could still stop him even if he possessed the Collector.

"So, Hexside was turned into a safe haven after all this happened?" Hunter asked Mattholomule.

"That's good but it's kinda sad." Luz said, frowning sadly. "A group of kids with no one too keep an eye on them during the apocalypse."

"A group of kids with magic abilities, I'm more surprised the building is still standing." Tracey said with a quirked brow.

"We're not savages. We can be civil most of the time." Lilith said to Tracey.

'Most of the time.' She thought.

Eda slowly turned her head towards Lilith, giving her a 'Bitch what?' look.

"... That was years ago, Edalyn." Lilith said, "And I apologized."

"Still doesn't change that you were a world class bitch." Eda said.

"Sort of. I wouldn't exactly call it "safe haven." Well... it's safe at least." Mattholomule said delicately.

Barcus snorted a bit, trying to make it seem like a sarcastic remark.

"You said it, buddy." King comments as Ebedwolf nodded in agreement.

"It is safe, Barcus." Mattholomule said to him.

"I have a feeling it's not safe." Luz said.

"If Boscha is the leader, it's probably worse on the inside." Gus comments.

"Hey! I may be a bitch sometimes but I can get serious about leading people!" Boscha said, crossing her arms.

Luz and Amity sent her a look. They both know that despite how confident Boscha makes herself seem, she had fragile ego and LOTS of self confidence issues without her friends reassuring/praising her.

"Don't give me those looks!" Boscha said to them.

"No." The couple said.

Boscha growled as Amelia held her hand, calming her down.

"Hey, it's okay." She said softly.

'Titan dang it.' Boscha thought with a blush as Skars and Cat chuckled at this.

"What's going on at Hexside?" Luz asked, making them turn to her. "In fact, what exactly happened here on the Day of Unity?"

"It was chaotic. Everything was shaking and the skies turned rainbow colored. Everyone ran outside to see the cause, only to be meet by those spies of the Collector." Skara said, recalling that day.
