Ch. 24: Watching Gremlin's Downfall

Amity was nervous, there was so much that could go wrong in the future.

Could Luz really handle Kikimora an tha giant mech suit? Would others be caught in the crossfire? Would the fight garner attention from the Collector's spies and doom the safe haven?!

'I hate this constant feeling of doom.' Amity thought.

And Amity wasn't the only one that hates this feeling as those who saw themselves in the future wondered what they were going to do to help Luz or what they were doing while this was going on.

One thing was certain, the future looked bleak.

"Are you all for this?" Mr. Hardcor3 asks the crowd.

"Probably not but we'll show it anyway." Jss2141 said with a joke.

Camila and the others saw Luz being chased out of the school, and knew, they had to help.

"Edric, I need to-"

"Go. I know your girlfriend is important to you. So go help her!" Edric said to Amity.

"Wow, you really did mature without me." Emira said with a smile.

"I guess so..." Edric said, looking at his injured yet matured future self in awe.

'Maybe I do need to give Em some more space and grow a little on my own.' Edric thought.

"At least one good thing is going to happen then." Amity said.

Amity ran out the door, with Camila and Gus behind her. In the gym, Boscha was shaking Amelia, trying to get her to wake up.

"Amelia, wake up!" Boscha said, being reminded of her and Cat being turned to puppets.

' Please don't be dead! Please don't be dead! Please don't be dead!' Boscha thought.

That was a feeling that Boscha hated. Her entire friend group was dreading this, especially Amelia after she JUST got turned back to normal! Even Willow was worried about her feeling plant witch.

Amelia groaned as she opened her eyes.

And just like that, the fives of them let out giant breaths of relief.

"W-w-where's Luz?" Amelia asked, "What happened?"

"She's gone, Kikimora attacked her and they're out in the woods right now." Boscha said.

"And she's going to get hurt." Luz said, glaring ay the screen. "I'm going to punt her like a football."

"I hope so, Luz. I have ALWAYS wanted to do that." Eda said with a grin.

"Several of us have." Lilith comments.

"Yup." Hunter said firmly.

Luz got happy, looking forward to seeing her destroy the little gremlin.

"I... I have to go to... I have to help her." Amelia said, getting up and starting to limp away.

"Out of the question, child! Not only are you still disoriented but you could have a concussion." Hettie said firmly.

Boscha grabbed her arm.

"No!" Boscha said, "I just got you back, I can't let you leave!"

"Possessive much?" Luz commented.

"You say that if you had to see most of your friends be taken from you." Boscha said back.
