Ch. 20: Watching The Next Step

"Well?" Mr. Hardcor3 asked, growing inpaitent, "What are we doing?"

"Just giving them a little break and something to eat. It's been a while, so we have to be gracious hosts." Jss2141 said to his friend.

"Alright." Mr. Hardcor3 said with a sigh.

After a few minutes, a knock came from somewhere as Jss2141 smiled and went to a door.

"When was that there?" Mr. H asked.

"Just now." Jss2141 said as he opened the door and saw a Grubhub delivery man.

"Here's your food, sir." The man said, carrying two giant bags of food.

Mr. Hardcor3 rolled his eyes.

"Thank you and here's your money plus tip." Jss2141 said, giving the delivery man 100 dollars.

"Thank you, sir!" The delivery man said as he took the money. "Have a great day!

"Tipping needs to be abolished and restaurants need to pay their workers more." Mr. Hardcore said, "Very few, if any countries out of America, actually have workers depending on tips."

"Didn't need to know that but I will be sure to remember it." Jss2141 said as he headed down to the viewing area. "Can you adjust the viewing area to have a buffet table set up?"

"Sure. I'm interested in this "Captain T's" you got anyway." Mr. Hardcor3 said. "We don't have that in New York. At least, not where I live."

"You'd love it, trust me." Jss2141 said before setting up the buffet at light speed.

"Fanfic magic, you gotta love it!" Mr. Hardcor3 said, turning to the screen and winking at the readers.

Once Jss2141 was done, he whistled loudly to get everyone's attention.

"Alright folks, before the next part begins, come help yourself to a provided buffet of fried fish, chicken, fries, hush puppies, and salad." He said, gesturing to the food. "Special ordered from Captain T's!"

"Captain T's? I love that place!" Luz said with a smile.

"It's a little too salty in my opinion." Vee said, having tried the fish and chicken place too.

"I have a question. What are "hush puppies?"" Amelia asked with her hand up.

"J, you tell them, this is your kind of domain." Mr. Hardcor3 said, "Never had one of them in my life."

"Gladly." Jss2141 said before looking at Amelia, holding up a hush puppy. "A hush puppy is a delicious side dish made from dried up grounded corn and grain before being rolled into a ball and deep fried in oil until golden brown."

"Oh! That sounds good!" King said, licking his lips.

"They indeed are. Catch." Jss2141 said before tossing the hush puppy in the air.

"You have fun, I'm going to go work on my plan for how to torture certain characters we'll bring." Mr. Hardcor3 said.

His fellow author nodded as King caught the hush puppy in his mouth and ate it.

"MMMMM! Oh man that is good!" King screamed.

"And there's plenty more before the next showing. So please, eat." Jss2141 said before snapping his fingers and making three drinks machines appear on the left of the buffet. "Plus, these three drink machines for you to enjoy. Red is drinks from Earth, Blue is drinks from the Boiling Isles, and Green is alcoholic drinks from both worlds."
