Well a ten hour plane ride with two almost two year olds wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
"Maybe we should get a place here Alyssa." Justin says as we walk into our new vacation home.
"Wow." Is all she says. That all I can say too. This place is incredible, I've never actually seen it before.
I set Scarlett down and Jacob does the same with Nikki.
"I'm exhausted." I say flopping on the couch. That plane ride wore me out.
"Justin, come help me with the bags." Jacob says and the two walk out.
"So?" I ask Alyssa as soon as they leave. She shakes her head.
She took a pregnancy test right before we left, but didn't tell Justin.
"Well, what do you want for dinner?" I ask her, changing the subject.
"I don't care."
"Auntie Lyssa! Come play!" Nikki squeals as she and Scarlett play with their dolls.
Her face brightens immediately. "Maybe I'm just supposed to be an aunt."
"Alyssa, don't say that. Just keeping trying and keep getting the injections. It will happen, I know it will."
We all get settled in and eat our dinner. The house has four bedrooms so nobody has to share.
I bathe the girls and put them to bed, as I'm passing through to our room I hear crying from Alyssa and Justin's.
I know ease dropping is wrong, but she's like my sister and I don't like it when she's upset.
"I'm took another test today." She sobs.
"Baby, it's okay. It will happen when it happens we can't worry about it. We're doing everything we can. It's going to be okay, you'll be a mom one day, I know it." Justin consoles her.
I shouldn't listen anymore. I just feel so bad.
It was so easy for me to get pregnant, it was an accident both times. She's wanted to get pregnant for over six months. It has to happen soon. Right?
I take a quick shower and go back to our room.
"Are we going to have your mom over tomorrow?" Jacob asks as I climb into bed.
"Yeah."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Well... No, nothing."
"Evi?"
"Okay, fine. I've been helping Alyssa with fertility issues for the last six months."
"Oh, I didn't think Justin would ever want kids."
"Well, I guess so, but it's just to much for her. She wants to be pregnant, she gets the injections that are supposed to increase your fertility, then she takes a test, cries and repeats the process."
"That must be horrible on her. Why didn't you tell me?"
"Know one knows except for us three. You know, patient confidentiality."
"Oh, right. I feel bad for them."
"I know me too. I've been trying to do more research on it but haven't come up with anything."
"How many dosages of the injections are you giving her?"
"Once a week."
"Maybe try twice this week."
"Okay, I gave her one three days ago, I can give her one tomorrow?"
"It shouldn't hurt anything. Except more needles for her."
