Today the girls are one and a half. I'm going to sign them up for creative movement ballet classes.
I accidentally go a little crazy buying leotards and tights and ballet shoes.
I sit in the viewing window and watch the twins ballet class. It brings back a lot of memories, I wish I could still dance.
Buckling them into their car seats I get a call from Alyssa.
"Hello?"
"Where are you? I have to tell you something!"
"Can you just tell me now?"
"No! It has to be in person! Mom just going to go to your house. Bye."
And she hung up. Okay.
When I get back to the house she's already there.
She follows me inside with her hands behind her back.
"Okay, what did you need to tell me?"
She takes a deep breath.
"I'M ENGAGED!" She screams, whipping her left hand in front of my face.
My eyes go wide. Her ring is huge!
"Good god, how much did this thing cost?!"
"Isn't it great! Ahhhh! I'm so excited!"
"I'm so happy for you." I say giving her a hug.
"When is the big day?"
"In ten days!"
"TEN DAYS?!" She's crazy!
"Yup!"
"You're crazy, how are you going to plan a wedding in ten days?"
"Uhhhh...." She pauses, "you're going to help?"
"Is this you asking me to be your maid of honor?"
"Yes?"
"Then fine. I'll help!"
"Yay!"
So I know this was super short, but the next chapter will be very long, it's going to go through the whole ten days and the wedding.
