Chapter Twelve
Mine
Darren's POV
"Where's the basket? Shit, I did not prepare for this," napahilamos ako.
"Nasa likod mo lang, dude."
Napatalikod ako. Karlos is right! Natawa naman siya sa naging reaksyon ko.
"Why are you laughing?" seryoso kong tanong sa kanya. I look stupid here.
"Natataranta ka na kasi. This is so unlike you. You used to be so organized."
"E, nag-usap pa kami nila Dad kagabi. Kaya naman hindi ko 'to napaghandaan. Just help! Darating na sila."
"Sinong sila? Akala ko ba si Nicky mo lang?"
Hindi ko na siya sinagot.
Andrea, Kyline's friend, insisted that she wants to bring some food additional to our picnic.
Yes, picnic.
Lately, we often go to picnic grounds.
She wanted to have a picnic again. I agreed since I don't have anything to do today.
It's nothing bad. It's good actually. He congratulated me for acing all of my subjects.
"I told you to use your eyes in searching, not your mouth."
I filled it with water.
Finished.
Kyline will be here any minute.
"Before we go, I almost forgot. Dee, this is Andrea. Andrea, for sure you know Darren. Karlos, Andrea. Andrea, Karlos," pagpapakilala ni Nicky sa amin.
Karlos flinched.
Naapektuhan ata ito sa presensya ni Andrea.
Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Nicky.
Do they know each other?
No, it's impossible.
I shrugged off that idea and I showed them where the car is. The situation was too awkward so I had to break the ice.
