He was now grown. The first free-willed human, Steve, was now officially 20 years old. He, being the first and favorite human, would be allowed to live forever. The other creatures of the world must age and die in order for new life to be born. Notch had grown distant to the boy once Steve turned 16, old enough to fend for himself. He was a worker, a farmer, and a builder. Steve decided to head into the mineshaft to look for any iron he might have missed that day. Poor choice.
As he stepped through the cave he could hear the usually noises. However, as he got deeper into the cave, he began hearing something strange. Curiosity filled him as he searched for the source of the sound. Destroying only two blocks of stone, he found what he was looking for. It was a creation he had never seen or heard about before. It was formed by obsidian blocks, with this strange purple substance in it. Before he could stick his hand in it, he heard a chuckle behind him. Swiftly he exited the strange room and flipped out his iron sword. Again, the chuckle came from behind him. As Steve turned around to face the creature his jaw dropped a bit.
"Hello there Steven."
Steve twitched at the familiar voice. He had never seen another human like this. Notch had told him for years that he was the only one created this way. This was all too strange though. This man knew his name.
"Do I know you?"
He asked, shaking at the knees a bit. He couldn't help but stare into those white eyes.
"I don't expect you to remember. Still, I suppose I'm satisfied with seeing you like this, so no need to remember a thing."
"H-hey, when were you created?"
Herobrine stepped to the ground, backing Steve into the wall of stone behind him.
"I was not created. I am a god. I created this world with Notch, my brother."
Steve's eyes widened more as Herobrine set both hands on the wall to block Steve in.
"B-brother...but Notch never..."
Herobrine laughed a bit, and grinned.
"Notch doesn't tell you everything boy. You were made in my image. You are the reason I was betrayed. You are where all the hatred started."
He stopped for just a moment, staring down at those hurt blue eyes.
"If that's so...why am I still here?"
He asked sadly, not really wanting to hear the god's answer.
Herobrines blank eyes narrowed softly at the boy."Because I loved you, even if you were just a mistake in this world."
