Steve thought about everything Notch said to him for the next four days. His thoughts twisted and turned, until finally, he grew curious enough. He packed his sword, two pickaxes, and several torches. Having made up his mind, he would find Herobrine. Steve ventured into the same exact cave as before, leaving a trail of torches to the exact room he had found before. Placing the final torch, he entered the room. It was lit up by the obsidian portal. He took a deep breath, and stepped through the portal. Once he came out through the other side, he carefully observed his new location. The walls were made of bricks, except much darker. He could barely see until he reached a far corner, exiting the hallway leading to the portal room. He eventually found his way outside. Steve turned around once far enough from the enclosure, and stared. It was amazing. There before him was a large castle, just like Notch's. Only, this one was dark, and had been built in a world where the ground was red and lava was flowing everywhere. Steve swallowed hard, then quickly turned around as he heard a screech. He backed up a bit. This was certainly strange. This creature was floating in the air, and looked almost like it had tear stains on its face. He flipped out his sword and waiting for the creature to come near. It did not, only instead began to spit fireballs at Steve. After dodging a few, he finally decided that if he could not reach the creature, he would find another way. He tilted the sword, flicking the fireball back at the creature. It collided with it, and the creature fell into the lava below it.
"Yeah!"
Steve shouts, a bit of victorious laugher in his voice. That's when he's grabbed. He drops his sword and struggles, but gets no where. Two of these pig creatures drag him back inside the castle. One shoves him on his knees, and the other yanks his hair, forcibly pulling his head up towards a throne. One of the beasts groan, and then there's that familiar voice.
"Steven?"
The figure stands and holds up a hand. Both creatures release Steve and stand back. He stands, seeing none other than Herobrine before him.
"How did you get here?"
He asks, a curious tone in his voice.
"The portal..."
Steve mumbles out, giving the beasts an angry look.
"Why have you come to my castle? I know Notch told you of our past."
Steve nods, blue eyes down.
"Yes, he did. I just wanted to say thank you."
Herobrine raises a brow.
"Pardon me?"
Steve stares up at the taller being.
"For creating the world I love."
There's an odd pause, but shortly after that Herobrine smiles slightly.
"You're an odd human."
"Odd?"
Steve asks.
"You will not understand what I'm about to do, but know that it is entirely your fault."
