*Marzia*

Felix is really happy when he's with me, but there seems to be something bugging him. Like sometimes he's really gloomy. I muster up my courage to ask him what the matter was. While we are looking at the Italian sunset, I call him with the softest voice: "Felix," He wakes up from his trance, put his arm around my shoulder and asks,"Yeah? What is it?" "What happened yesterday, I mean...the phone call?"

*Felix*

She's finally asking the question! WHAT DO I DO??? I feel like running away from her. "I don't think I should tell you right now because.......it might ruin our relationship." I stammer, unsure of myself. Marzia pulls back from my hold and looks at me with her chocolate brown eyes. It's really hard to lie to someone when you are looking at them in the eye. "Tell me. "She says sternly. I look down at the floor. "Shall we like.....sit somewhere? I ask her. "Sure!" She replies and we go find a bench that is free. I hold her warm hand and wonder where to start.

"Marzia, I'll first tell you about my family. They are big businessmen. However, they believe that if I should achieve my goal, I should work hard and do it by myself. Honestly, I don't disagree with that at all. In 12th, I got straight A's in every single subject, and I even got into the Chalmers University to study Industrial Economics. But the fees were really expensive and I even took a student loan. They are really hard to pay and the tenure lasts for an eternity! Sometimes it felt like I was continuing to study in Chalmers for the sake of the student loan. I even took a break from recording game play videos for two months! Those two months were the darkest and most lifeless moments of my life. After finishing my final tests, the graduation ceremony was coming up. I would get my certificate in industrial economics, and be conferred with an honorary degree before my already long name. My parents would be happy; I would get a job and work in an office every day and earn salary every month, just like the other people. But the problem, Marzia, is that I did not want that life. I did not want to lead a life full of monotonous existence. I wanted to play my favorite video games and upload them on YouTube! I wanted to interact with the people who take their time to watch my videos. I want to lead a different life altogether. "

"So.....what did you do?" Marzia asks, engrossed in my story.

"I dropped out of University before graduation." I sighed. "But Felix, after so many months you put in that....you left?"

"I just knew that it was the right thing to do. I know no one has done this before....making YouTube videos for a living, but I could be one of the first!" I smirk. I tell Marzia about how my parents stopped paying the loan, the odd jobs I had to do, like being a harbor captain. I finally confess that I work at a hot dog stall. I look at Marzia. She holds my hand even tighter, which is a good sign, as she isn't angry at me. "I was initially very humiliated at first, but when I met you, I worked overtime for buying those precious tickets that brought us closer together. Don't know Marzia, maybe I should have told my parents. It wouldn't have turned out this bad." a few moments of thoughtful silence pass. Then she looks at me compassionately. "It's okay Felix. Everyone makes mistakes. I really like the fact that you were honest with me about this. I want to tell you something. I really liked having you here at my house for the birthday party. I wish I told you, you know, smiled when you came..."

"Don't mention it, Marzia, that night was the most bittersweet day of my life." we both smile at each other ....

when my phone rings.
