In no time, we are at the door of Felix's parents house. Fanny opens the door and gives both of us a squeeze at the same time. She looks at my uncasted arm and we both squeal. "You're free now!" She yells as I jump excitedly. I hear Felix giggle and I nudge him lightly with my elbow. She leads us in and we make ourselves comfortable on the sofa. She hands us glasses of water and hands me a bag. I peep inside and gasp. It is frilly miniskirt and a little crop top. It is accompanied with a pair of black stockings. I place the glass on the center table and hug her again. "You like it?" She asks and I nod my head repeatedly. Felix, this is for you. She lifts something supposedly heavy from behind the sofa set and dumps it in Felix's ready arms. The large package falls right through as the three of us erupt in laughter. Felix looks at the dog on the package and looks overjoyed. "Do you keep pug food lying around,or?" He asks, sarcasm evident in his voice.
"Bought it as soon as you told me to, you little brat!" She remarks, making me stifle my laughter. "Thank you!" Felix chirps , gratefulness in his voice. Fanny messes his long hair around and she smiles at him. They look similar in many ways than I thought. Her jawline, her eyes, the shape of her face, her gestures,I could go on. I can't believe he arranged for dog food for Maya, that's really sweet of both him and her. A twinge of guilt pulls at my heart strings but I make it go away.
Maybe Felix is what he is. But something tells me he his hiding something about himself too. We have never fought before, he always tries to be his best around me, like being the perfect boyfriend. I want him to show his imperfect side. I want to understand him better. He seems like nothing scares him in life more than the monsters in amnesia. But something feels fishy about that behaviour and I want to know.
Do I want answers? Or do I need them?I need them.
*Felix*
A snap from my fingers brings Marzia back to life as she blushes and scratches her hair in embarrassment. She leans on my shoulder while Fanny places three plates of meatballs on the table. I yank my arm violently from below Marzia's head and she gives me a "WTF" look. "I can't help it. I love meatballs more than I love myself." I explain as she rolls her eyes. I grip the spoon like a savage and in no time, the plate is licked clean. Marzia looks at me, aghast and looks at a laughing Fanny. "Yes, that's Felix. Always acts like he's seen food for the first time!" I give her a toothy grin and it makes Marzia giggle.I just want to see her happy. Even if it means hiding the problems we face regarding money. I want her to be at home with me. i havent told her about when my next paycheck is expected to come. i found it really lucky when Ms.Bjorne allowed us to take the supplies home for free. I would've paid for it anyway, to make her happy. all i want is to see her smile, again, again , and again.
I look at Marzia and run my fingers through her hair.
Anything for my princess.
