"Pass the ball already!' I shout at Kelly, my best friend, its lunch, and she is refusing to share the ball, but that isn't unusual

What happens in next happens in slow motion, she takes a step forward, and our weird principal who isn't looking where he's going, rams into her, knocking her to the ground and spilling his hot coffee all over her

"Look where you are going!' Mr Davy fumes, he never owns up to his mistakes, it's amazing he even got this job

"You were the one who ran into me' she replies grumpily, this is not going to end well

"Both of you will be showing the new kid around tomorrow and I expect you to be civil" he snaps and strides away

I glare at Kelly and walk away, I'm not angry with her, it's not her fault that Mr Davy is horrible, I just don't like people that I haven't know for more than five years, I don't trust them and they are always so annoying

"I'm sorry Mira! I really am" she shouts after me, I don't say anything just stop and wait for her too catch up with me, I shouldn't take it out on her

"What do you have now?" she asks as the bell rings signalling that lunch is over

"English with Ms Grackle" I reply and she laughs

"That sucks, I have maths with Mr Hick-up" she says as we reach her classroom, I don't get a chance to respond before I'm swallowed up in the noisy and busy crowd of students trying to get to class on time

Warning Ms Grackle is crazy and nuts at the same time, we believe she was the one who killed her husband and son or maybe she went crazy out of grief for them after they died, either the way no one likes her or wants to be in her class.

"Good afternoon girls" she says in a deep voice

"Good morning Ms Crazy" we say back, she doesn't seem to notice, she opens up her computer after sending death stare to all the boys that probably means if they move their dead

Funny thing happened at the start of the year, a boy named to John asked to go to the toilet, and she told him to wait outside in the dark alleyway for her. He was never seen again. He didn't move schools because all his books are I his locker still and his bag is still on the racks rotting lunch and all, his phone, IPad, and both of his computers were stolen not long after he disappeared.

It looks like we get to decide what we are doing today. Half the kids leave because she never takes the roll during class and when does it she just marks as here even if we weren't

I decide to go home since I will probably get more done there, Kelly will just rush out of the school and if she does look for me she'll soon realise that I've already let

As I walk out the door, hoping that today won't be the day she starts to be a good teacher, she doesn't even notice a thing, but I swear I see tears well up in her eyes, one manages to escape

Maybe she is human after all

I take one last look around the classroom, the only ones left are the nerd, the geek and the gossip, glad I didn't choose to stay

The walk home is faster than I expected and only when I reach my house I remember Seth, that I was supposed to wait for him, oh well, I can just say that I'm not feeling well, Daisy will understand

"Didn't expect you back this early" Dad says as I walk in turning the TV off

"Wasn't feeling well so I came home" I reply and he nods

"Don't worry about picking up Seth, Charlie said he'd do it" he tells me and I hold back a groan

My brother Charlie, is four years older than me and finished school two year ago, he is in university studying law now. He is so arrogant. but he is fun to be around, i wouldn't replace him for all the money in the world

If I had to choose between Seth and Charlie, I'd choose Charlie, duh.
