As I enter the school building something seems different

I can't see Kelly anywhere, which is probably a good thing

But I can't see Nathan either

Maybe he's just sick

I look at my timetable and see that I have maths first, I am so going to have so much fun learning about stuff I really don't care about and ready know

As I walk to the classroom, I feel someone come up next to me, I look to my right and see Kelly, who has a big smile on her face

I look straight ahead again and keep on walking like Kelly isn't there, I walk faster since I know Kelly is a very slow walker

"Hey! Mira wait up!" She yells after me as I get far ahead of her, I ignore her and go faster

"Mira! What did I do?" She yells and I don't reply and I finally find the classroom which has definitely moved

I sit down at a table at the front of the classroom

"Can I sit here?" Someone asks me and I look at who asked, a girl I've never seen before, she looks nervous

"Yeah sure" I say, moving my stuff

"Thanks" she says sitting down

"I'm Mira" I tell her

"Gem" she says

Maybe today won't be so bad after all

"Alright class, we have a new student today" Mr Kendal

"Please welcome her" he adds

"I think your meant to stand up" I whisper to her

"Oh oops" she says standing up

"There you are" Mr Kendal said

"Hi I'm Gem and I like books and I want to be an author when I'm older" she says awkwardly and some people laugh

"You may sit for down again Gem" Mr Kendal told her and started the lesson

"What's your last name?" I ask her

"Jones" she replies

"Do you have a brother?" I ask

"Yes, his name is Fin" she tells

"Your brother is jerk face, that can't be right" I say shocked and a little louder then I mean to

"Jerk face? Never heard that before, do you know him?" She asks, I get the feeling everyone is listening to our conversation

"Yeah he's my brothers best friend" I reply

"Ms Allen and Ms Jones, you can chat  at recess not during my lesson" Mr Kendal snapped at us

"Seriously, who's Ms Allen and who's Mira" some idiot asked I am not that invisible

"Mira Allen is this girl over here" Mr Kendal told them pointing at me and pretty much the whole entire class went 'oooh, we totally knew that'

"How do they not know who you are?" Gem asks as we leave, she's trying to hold in their laughter

"I don't know, I've only been here forever, maybe it's because they're idiots" I reply and she laughs

"What's so funny? And who is she?" Kelly asks blocking our path, oh great here we go

"Gem this is my ex-best friend, ex-best friend this is my new best friend, Gem" I introduce them and we turn and head anther way
