He was coming home

I knock on her office door three times and waited

"Yes, come in" she calls and I go in

"Ah, Mira, nice to see you again" Ms Edwards says stopping what she is doing

After about fifteen minutes we work out that, yes, she is my aunt

"Mira your friends broke in, they broke the front window, care to explain? While your at it, why are you so late?" Daisy asks as soon as shut the front door behind me

"Their weird and I had to talk to a teacher, bye" I reply and run for my room

"Did you have to break in?" I ask them

"We were bored" Gem tells me

"By we she means just her" Nathan says

"Sure she does" I say sitting on them both

"So are you going to tell us now?" Gem asks

"Tell you what?" I ask

"About your talk with Ms Edwards" Nathan reminds me

"Oh yeah, she's my aunt" I say

"Why didn't you just ask your mother?" Gem asks

"I have no idea where she is" I tell her

"Isn't she downstairs?" Gem asks confused

"No, that's my step mother" I reply

Someone's phone beeps, we all check our phones, it turns out to be Nathan's

"I've got to go" he says and leaves very quickly, almost knocking me off the bed as he does

"One down two to go" I say

"Why did he leave so soon?" Gem asks sadly

"Who knows, I'm hungry" I say, rolling off the bed

"Wait for me" Gem calls, I turn around to see that she's very slowly rolling off the bed

Like really slowly, in the past minute she's moved one centimetre I'm not even kidding

"Gem, hurry up" I tell her, before I leave her behind

"Who was that boy that just left?" Daisy asked me as I took her blueberry muffin without her noticing

"Nathan, you remember Nathan, you work with his father" I tell her

She goes to pick up her muffin

"Where's my muffin?" She asks and I hide it behind my back

"I don't know, maybe you ate it already" I reply smiling innocently

"I don't think I have" she says

"Well bye!" I say quickly and sneakily sneak up the stairs so she doesn't suspect anything or so she doesn't see her half eaten muffin that is really good

At the top of the stairs I run into Gem

"Hello, goodbye" I say going past her, I can feel her looking at me weirdly

"There's food in the kitchen" I tell her and I hear go down stairs, hopefully Daisy will be nice even though she's lost her precious blueberry muffin

"I thought you didn't like blueberry muffin" Seth says and I turn around to face him

"I don't, I'm just looking after it for Gem" I tell him

"So if I ask her she'll confirm that?" He asks

"Yeah but don't tell her, she doesn't realise I have it" I tell him and he nods and goes back to his room 

"Gem! Hurry up!" I shout to Gem
