"You know you wouldn't have failed maths, science, Spanish, English, history and geography, sport and health if you actually attended school and payed attention" Nathan tells Gem and she rolls her eyes at him
"I would have failed anyway, we had rubbish teachers who didn't bother to convince me to come to class" Gem says
"I don't think that they knew they had to convince you. I'm pretty sure it's against the law not to come to school" I point out
"Yeah, you could getting deported"Nathan says
"Sweetie, I don't think you can get deported from your own country" I tell him and Gem laughs
"You can, it's called transportation and they did it in the 1700s" Nathan replies mumbling a bit
"And that was over two hundred and twenty years ago. They stopped doing that a long time ago" I remind him
"Whatever, they'll still deport her since no one likes her" Nathan mutters
"I don't think they're allowed to do that" Gem says
"Gem, your too stupid to know what they're allowed and not allowed to do" I tell
"I hate you" she says grumpily
"I know you do" I reply smiling
"I'll forgive you if you buy me ice cream" she informs me
"What if I don't want your forgiveness?" I ask her and she looks at me before huffing and turning away from me
"I don't think she even knows the meaning of forgiveness" Nathan says and she throws her dictionary at him. What's with everyone and throwing dictionaries? The words don't like being to attack people
Where did she even get that dictionary? It's not hers, because I watched her burn it on her first day
"She doesn't know the meaning of peace either" I mutter "where did you get the dictionary?" I ask her and she shrugs
"I stole it from the principals office" she replies eventually
She has got to be kidding
"Why do you have a dictionary?" Nathan asks her not even caring that she is now an official thief
"To throw it at you" she replies and he throws it back at her
"Hey! you can't do that, it's my dictionary" she says loudly
"It's the principal's" I remind her but both of them ignore me and continue to throw the dictionary at each other repeatedly
So immature.
"Whoever stops first I'll buy them ice cream" I say and Nathan stops but Gem decides she wants to win so she throws it once again
"No ice cream for either of you" I mutter when Nathan throws it back
Time has gone by, considering I'm the most mature one now instead of Nathan.
"I'm going to get ice cream on my own then" I say and neither of them react or hear or whatever
They are a bad friend and boyfriend in history
"Can I have a cookies and cream ice cream in a come please?" I ask the guy and he nods
"That will be four-fifty" he grunts
"Thank you" I say handing over the money and walking away
And when I get back to them they are still throwing the stupid dictionary at each other.
Which just shows how immature they actually are.
It's not surprising for Gem but I would have though that Nathan would have gotten bored by now.
I grab the dictionary quickly from Gem before she can throw it again
"Give it back" she whines trying to grab it without having to move a lot
"Nope, no more throwing dictionaries that you have stolen" I tell and she glares at me and goes quiet, for once in her miserable life.
And that's when it starts to pour
"Let's get out of here" I say before noticing that Gem is already gone
"Let's go" Nathan agrees standing up
"Why were you throwing the dictionary back? It only encouraged her and it doesn't help" I say and he shrugs
"I was bored and I thought maybe it will make her less interested in pushing someone off a bridge later on" he says
"Since when has she ever pushed someone off a bridge?" I ask, I don't remember her doing that
"She hasn't yet by she will progress from stealing to attempting murder" he replies
"Who knows, she'd probably fall off with the person if she did" I say and Nathan laughs
"She said she needed to tell us something, it seemed important" Nathan says
"She'll tell us tomorrow or whenever we next see her, it probably wasn't as important as she made it seem" I say shrugging "she tends to exaggerate a lot" I add
"I guess" he agrees smiling a bit, he seems unsure
"I'll see you tomorrow probably" I say and walk inside my house, to find Fin it ting watching tv
"What are you doing?" I ask him
"Watching tv, what does it look like?" He replies snappishly
"Why are you in my house? You have your own" I say
"It's none of your business, go away" he snaps
"Someone's in a bad mood" I mutter before walking upstairs to feed my kittens
