"Are you and Nathan fighting?" Gem asks me sitting down in front of me, a strange boy sits down next to seconds later

"No. Who's he?" I ask

"This is my boyfriend, Max" she replies and he smiles at me

"Isn't he the guy you were stalking or something?" I ask confused, why would anyone want to date Gem? She's not exactly a nice and trustworthy person but I guess I'm the only who sees it, sadly enough

"Haha, maybe" she replies blushing the tiniest bit

"Oh okay then" I say, deciding no to question Max's sanity

"Are you sure you and Nathan aren't fighting?" Gem ask me

"Yeah I'm sure why?" I reply, why does she think we're fighting?

"So why isn't he here then? He'd always here except of the time you two were fighting" She says looking at me sceptically

"Because he's talking to one of his teachers about something" I reply

"What about?" She asks

Must she know everything?

"Have you two even been on a date before?" I ask them attempting to change the subject

"That's not what we're talking about, why is Nathan talking to a teacher?" She says, deflecting my attempt

"I don't know, he's probably in trouble or something like that. You can ask him in out next class together or at lunch" I reply  "have you two even been on a date yet?" I repeat

"No but we're going on one on Friday" Gem replies accepting my answer

"So you chose to become boyfriend and girlfriend without being in a date yet?" I confirmed and they nod "that's weird" I say

"Just because it's not tradition it doesn't mean it's weird" Gem argues

"Yeah it does" Nathan says sitting down

"You just got here, so you don't get a say in this" Gem tells him and he rolls his eyes

"Only because you know he's right and you hate not being right, which must be a problem since your never right" I point out and she throws her half melted cookie at me

How does one melt a cookie anyway? Someone please explain it to me 

The bell rings just in time I stop her from killing me

"Saved by the bell" I say and run out if the cafeteria, I hear Nathan laugh, I look around to see the new deputy principal covered in a drink, raspberry lemonade to be exact.

And guess who owned that lemonade? The one and only truly special and lovely Gem whatever her last name is

I laugh quietly before heading to my locker, she's going to be in so much trouble

And an idea pops into my head.

"Get to class kid" the now very grumpy and angry deputy principal snaps at me, with a guilty but no regretful Gem following a few footsteps behind

The final bell Ian even near to ringing

As Gem passes me she pokes her tongue out at me and I do the same to her before hurrying to class before I get into trouble as well

"Just in time Miss" Monsieur Silver says as I walk through the door just a the bell goes

I hate French

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Nathan asks me as I set up the timers

"Of course it will, it always has" I reply

"You've done this before?" He asks me, trying but failing to sound shocked

"Of course, how do you think I got rid of numbers one, two, three and four" I reply

"Why do I even ask anymore" I hear him mutter to himself 

I look into the living room where Nathan's da is watching some show that is apparently funny

I put the last one in place when Daisy gets out of her car

"She's coming" Nathan hisses

An we run to where we'll be safe

We watch as Daisy opens the door and walks straight into the kitchen. Perfect.

I press start in the ten second count down, we press against the wall

And boom!

We smother our laughter as we hear her scream

And then right at that perfect moment Nathan's dad laughs way too hard to be laughing at a show that's not only funny but appropriate

That's when we make an entrance, making it look like we had been upstairs not around the corner

"What happened?" Nathan asks Trying to make him sound like he doesn't know and actually cares

And for once he succeeds

"Who did this?!" She shouts as we enter into the kitchen

Daisy is standing in the middle of the kitchen covered in sticky raspberry lemonade, Fanta, Coke and Solo

"Oh right. This is just one of Dad's pranks, he does them to every new girlfriend, wife or fiancée, he pranks the new girlfriend for the next month to see how tolerant they are" Nathan explains

"It's starts off with that and ends with dog poo on all of her stuff, he shampoo, conditioner, clothes, bags, shoes, bed, makeup, hair products, skin products, food and purses/wallets, phone, and her hairbrush" I add and she stomps out of the kitchen and into the living room

"It's over! I wish I had never met you!" She screams at him

No matter what he said she would not listen
So it worked, we got Daisy to break up with Nathan's dad like we planned
