"I still can't believe you attacked my brother without me. I thought you were my best friend" Gem whines an Nathan rolls his eyes

"So Ethan" Amara starts, I convinced her to call him Ethan because she's the only one who would actually get away with it

"Nathan" he corrects

"Why did you come here?" She ask him

"Yeah why did you come here?" Gem piped up and he seemed to become really nervous about something

"Oh you know, I just felt like a change" he replied, it's so painfully obvious that he was lying

"Your lying" Amara accuses him

He is such a terrible liar even the new girl can tell that he is lying

"My dad wanted me to get close to someone for a business deal" he admitted

"You going to tell us who?" I ask

"It doesn't matter, he decided he'd rather not do the deal" Nathan replied

I decided not to push it

"Oh my god! Has anyone gone to see the dressmaker?" Gem asks excitedly

"No why?" I ask

"The trailer looks so good!" She replies and shows me it

"Haha Kate Winslet is the only one who's not Australian" Amara laughs

"Why are they all  Australian?" Nathan asks
"It's an Australian movie. It is set in Australia you idiot" I reply rolling my eyes "and they aren't all Australian" I add 

"I don't want to go to class" Gem whines, i was wondering when she would say that, since she obviously can't go a day without those words

"Well that's just too bad" Amara says

"Let's skip" Gem sugests

"No" Amara immediately replies

"Why not?" Gem asks, we've been through this with her a million times before but she never listens

"your parents pay a lot of money for you to go to this school, it's not fair on them if you skip now is it? and also you learn a lot in school that you need later in life and besides, i want to go to class" Amara replies, true, why hasn't Nathan ever thought of putting it that way?

 "I guess it's a good thing that your not actually apart of this group then. so you can go to class and we can skip without you telling us what to do" Gem snaps and Amara stands up looking hurt

  "I'm going to class" she mutters and walks away quickly, both me and Nathan look at Gem shocked that she can be so mean

"what a loser" Gem says and then notices the way we are looking at her

"What? only a loser doesn't want to skip class and then goes half an hour early" she says, i just shake my head and stand up walk away, trying to work out where Amara was heading to

"You just don't get it" I hear Nathan snap at Gem

I finally spot Amara heading towards Mr Clancy's drama class

 "Amara! wait!" I shout, she stops just long enough for me to catch up

"what do you want?" she asks me angruly

"We're in the same class, I thought we could sit together" I say

"Why would you want to sit with me? I'm boring and controlling" she snaps 

"look, Gem can be a bit, well, cruel. Don't pay any attention to her, what she said was wrong and untrue and she's being an idiot, she apologise by this time tomorrow"  I say and Amara smiles at me 

"Is Gem in this class?" Amara asks 

"NO she thought it would be too much work and drama for her" I reply and she laughs 

"Welcome! Welcome!" Mr Clancy announces, and he is obviously overly weird

"Is Nathan in this class then?" Amara asks 

"No he gets stage fright" I reply

"So why are you in this class?" she asks me 

"Honestly, I have no idea" I reply and she laughs
