"I'm free!!" Gem shouts running over to us

"Oh god, who let her out?" Amara asks sounding very scared  

"The dogs probably, they are always making mistakes" I reply and Nate laughs maybe a bit too loudly as Gem slows down and looks at us suspiciously

"What are guys laughing about?" Gem asks us

"The principal walking into a tree the other day" I reply slowly trying to sound believable

"Why do I always miss the good stuff!" She shouts angrily

"Because your an idiot" Amara replies quietly

"What was that Amara?" Gem asks hands on her hips

"Nothing" She replies quietly and very suspiciously

"You are a horrible liar" Gem informs her but doesn't say anything else about it

"What do we have first?" Nate asks

"English" I reply and everyone groans

"English really isn't that bad kids" Mr New English guy says as he walks by

Awkward

"Who's he?" Gem asks

"That's our new English teacher" I reply

"What happened to the old guy?" Gem asks

"He retired" Amara answers throwing her bag onto the ground angrily for some reason

"He was only theory or something, that's not really that old. Actually that is very old" Gem says

"We drove him crazy and he was sixty or seventy" I tell her

"Is that why he looked like he was about to drop dead" Gem says

"I think he looked like he was about to drop dead was because we wouldn't ever shut up and it drove him mad and to to the brink of death"  Nate says and Gem laughs evilly

"Leave the new guy alone, it's his first day for gosh sake" Amara snap and we look at her

"We never said anything about giving him a hard time" I say confused

"That's what the whole entire conversation has been about" She says rolling her eyes 

"No actually, we've been talking about the old English teacher who the new guy is replacing. Learn to listen" Gem snaps

And before we can stop her, Amara launches herself into Gem and starts fighting her. And of course Gem had to fight back

Which is why we are now all sitting in the principals office being threatened to have our parents called if we don't reveal what the fight was about

And the thing is none of us except Amara dies know what it was about

"It was Amara who started and for no reason too. We were just talking about Mr Harrison and why he retired and then she got pissed at us because apparently we were making fun or sow thing if the new just because we brought up his name once and then when we said that we weren't and asked why she said she got angry and then Gem got annoyed because she doesn't like being accused of things falsely and then Amara just attacked her and Gem fought back in self defence and now we are here" I explain to the principal

"Well then you can all leave except for Amara" she tells us and we all get up to leave

"They're lying! They're just making things up to spite me!" Amara shouts 

"Sit down Amara" the principal says in a stern voice

And we walk out as fast as we can

"What was that about?" I whisper

"Who knows, who cares" Gem mutters holding an ice-pack to her eye

"Yeah, what was wrong with her, she was fine and then she just lost it" Nate comments

"Maybe she was in love with Mr Harrison or she's in love with the new guy and that's why he came here" I suggest

"Because she would sleep with her teacher" Gem mutters

"That's more of Fem's thing but it would make sense how she doesn't study or try or listen in class but always gets hundred percent on all her tests" Nate says

"I don't think that's what happened" I say

"It was you who said it" Nate says

"Well it was just an idea, I don't actually think it was true" I tell him  and he starts a staring contest with me to solve things

"Let's get to class before we are more than fashionable late" Gem says cutting short the contest

"What has happened to Gem?" Nate asks mock shock 

"Maybe an alien has replaced her" I reply and she glares at the both of us, sticking her tongue out at us both too 

"Welcome, welcome you three. As I was saying before I am Mr Brown and I don't have any rules except for have fun" he announces as soon as we walk in

"But though I don't have rules I do have expectations, including handing in homework on time and paying the slightest bit of attention to me and doing the best you can" he continues

"Now take a seat next to someone you've never ever talked to before in your life" he finishes 

I don't like anybody in this stupid class

"I've never talked to you before" I say to Nate and sit down next to him

"Miss Allen, please sit next to someone who isn't your boyfriend" Mr Brown tells me and a few people try and hide their laughs, which they absolutely failed at

"Fine then I'll sit next to that loser" I say pointing to Kelly's current boyfriend and she throws her pencil case at me

"Miss Mackay naughty corner for you" he orders her and she stands up and stalks to the back left corner

Awesome! We now have a naughty corner!

"You two Miss Allen" he tells me

"What for?" I ask

"For voicing your inner voices out loud" he replies

Well he's an interesting one
