I wake up and instantly feel the tension in the air

Today is Thursday, the day dad leaves for a business trip, for a week

Leaving us here with Daisy

At least she's Seth's mum, she's just me and Charlie's fourth step mother and Charlie can leave if he wants to

Once I'm ready I go down downstairs to get some breakfast

"I'm driving you to school today" Charlie tells me and I nod

Soon enough we head out to his Porsche which I am forbidden to do anything in

"Can we turn the music?" I ask

"No" he replies, I forgot that he won't allow music because it will ruin the car

He just doesn't like music

"Your mean" I whine and he laughs

So instead of fighting him, I look out the window

Bearish to school, I see Nathan, he has a black eye, did he get into a fight at school after I left?

"Do you know him?" Charlie asks

"Who?" I ask confused, he also seems to enjoy playing the pronoun game

"That boy your looking at" he says

"No, not at all" I reply

"Not even his name?" Charlie checks, shocked

"Nope" I say getting out of the car

"Aren't you forgetting something?" he calls after me

"Oh yeah, get me some chocolate" I call back and he laughs before driving away

"Ms Allen, my office please" Mr Davy orders, what have I done now

He leads me to his office and I take a seat he looks at me sternly

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I ask, he looks up at me

"Yesterday, you left school without permission and no one knew where you went" he tells me, oh great, my life can't get any better, can it?

"I got some upsetting news" I told him, feeling my anger rising up

"That is no excuse, and don't lie, you don't know what upsetting news is" he snaps and that's when I lose it

"So being told that your favourite cousin was killed in war is no excuse for leaving because apparently he isn't important and is wrong to do but cheating on your wife who loves you dearly for a crazy woman and then tricking your wife into a divorce and only tell her the day after you remarried is alright" I shout throwing my books at him he ducks, dodging all but one

"That is enough, I know you are upset but that was inappropriate" he yells

In response I smash his favourite case and storm out, after collecting my stuff

It's finally hitting me, the realisation that David is dead

I walk into class late, and the teacher asks to see me after class

Class goes by and I don't take anything  in

Then the bell goes and everyone departs whispering about me

"Why were you late?" She asks not even bothering to look up

"I was talking to the principal" I reply

"Why?" She asks

"None of your damn business" I snap and I walk out, luckily she doesn't call me back

By the end of today I'm going to either have multiply detentions or be suspended or expelled but they wouldn't do that, they've already tried and that did not go down well

Skip to the end of the day
Well I have detentions on every Friday for the next two months but oh well at least it keeps me busy

As I'm turning a corner I hear shouts in the distance

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" The chants become louder as I come closer

It's between two boys, two very familiar boys

Nathan and Charlie

This is why I strongly dislike boys

"Stop it!" I screech and they do

Nathan has a bloody nose and another black eye while Charlie is relatively unharmed, now we now who started it but not what caused it

Charlie was probably jut being a humongous jerk and felt like starting a fight

"Home now!" I snap pulling my brother, not even looking at Nathan as we go

We drive in silence for the whole time and we get there, I silently demand my chocolate and he gives five big blocks of it to me

As soon as we get inside I turn on him, wanting an answer

"Well?" I prompt when doesn't say anything

"Umm, he started it?" Charlie tries and I roll my eyes

"Truth now" I spit and he looks down, like a child caught sneaking lollies, which I believe he does a lot

"I needed to fight or punch someone, I have nothing against, honestly" he tells me

"That doesn't make it right" I snap and go to my room

"What's out her in such a mood?" I her Daisy ask

"Have no idea, she's just being Mira I guess" Charlie replies, I can't believe him and Daisy is acting so heartless!

I flop into my bed and cry myself to sleep, after remembering to lock my door

Time skip
"She's going through a tough time...yes I will inform her of that... She tend to smash things and throw things when she's angry and most of the time she's angry because something really bad had happened... I am truly sorry for that, I will pay for the repairs...oh it's no problem...she won't go for it... I think it's best if we leave her to sort out her temper and her emotions...I know but...I'll give her a week and if she doesn't improve and will look into that...thank you for calling" that's what I wake up to hear, Daisy on the phone to someone, I'm guessing it's about me

"Mira, darling, are you awake?" She asks through the door

"You asked her that two minutes ago, mum" Charlie says, I'm the only one who doesn't call her that, except for dad, it would be really weird if he did

I decide just pretend I'm asleep

"Mira? Are you awake?" Daisy asks from the other side of my door

"Mum. You just asked her that, two seconds of go, leave her be, she's asleep and two seconds won't change that" Charlie says loudly and everything else is muffled
