At home, I'm still shaken up by the events. What in the world was all that?

I decided not to deal with it and draw. When I reach my mother's picture, I realize the background is gone. I'm confused. Wasn't there just a background of a forest there? I decide to draw the background again. As the tip of my mechanical pencil touches the white paper, the paper moves like it was smacked jelly.

I quickly take my pencil back and stare at the moving background.

Uh.... okay then.

I decided to touch the background with my fingers, and as soon as I do so, my fingers go through the blank page. I don't take my fingers out of it though. I felt like if you put your fingers in water, except without it getting wet.

I thought about how the forest looked in my dreams, so I closed my eyes and imagined a paintbrush slowly painting in the scenery. I felt something different about how the paper felt. It felt more like jelly than water. I opened my eyes and gasped.

The background was there again!

I take my hand out of the background, and it disappears again. I then saw my mother's picture disappear, and in her place was the panther from my dream! It was staring at me with those cute eyes, and the firefly came from above it.

It squealed with joy, when he saw me. He swiftly moved up close to my face, but he smacked his face like there was a border of glass there. The background moved like jelly again and the firefly looked at me with big sad eyes. His mouth was curved downward, like a frown, and he slowly flew backwards towards the panther, who was in tears.

The two made me so sad. The background was tinted blue like in my dreams, so that didn't help. I started tearing up but held them back.

"Hey," I said, hoping they'd hear me, "Don't cry guys! I'll be sure t visit you two!"

Their faces slightly lightened up, and I decided to sing for them.

*Turn on music if you haven't already*

"I hoped, that one day you would be able to be with me. No matter what I do, you would always be with me. I promise that I would be there and help your boat sail along the mirror of water. Don't you cry when you leave. I'll be right here for you."

Their heads swayed slightly to the song, but the background started fading.

"I promise I'll visit, guys," I said to the fading background, "I promise."

Once the background was gone, I felt sad that the cute ones were gone, but I knew they were happier than they were earlier.
