Rose
"You okay, Valery?" I asked, flying towards her.
"How are we suppose to get the dust now?" she said, "Azelea's homes could be anywhere."
"She did say that some of her homes were found," Nan reassured, "Aspen, you said that you remember anything odd and mysterious, about the Spirit World. Do you recall of any homes that seemed eerie and strange?"
Aspen leaned on one of the thing trees. He sighed, but he did look like he was thinking hard. Just then, the tree became uprooted from the ground, and the floor opened next to him. We all looked at each other, and Val decided to go in.
"It's just a corridor of steps," she said, "Should we go?"
"We might as well," Aspen said, "Wherever this goes, it should be some sort of clue."
We went through the spiral of steps, and we entered a dark room. It was one of the catacombs! They were said to be ancient and full of wonders. In most stories, they say that the dark narrow halls have some sort of odd magic. It's even more strange than witches' magic.
"The catacombs?" Alex said, "I thought those were just legends."
"What are you guys talking about?" Val asked.
"The catacombs are from legends," Nan explained, "The stories go, these stone corridors lead to these different doors. Every door has a different outcome. The ones with nice things, such as plants growing along the door frames, will always lead to some sort of clue to a better future. However, doors with bugs and dead branches crawling along them, will lead to your doom."
"So, they basically kill you?" Val said.
"They don't kill you," I added, "They just show you a tragedy that can happen to you. Only that person can see their own fate."
"And here I am, thinking that those stories were legends," Alex interrupted.
We all chuckled and went deeper into the catacombs. After a bit, I decided to light my wings. Lilac and Nan did the same. Some of the explorers started to become hypnotized by the pink and purple light. Alex barked them into attention, and they listened and followed us.
Out of nowhere, suddenly, Valery stopped. We all looked to her, and I realized that her ears were moving. They moved to her right, so she looked and there was a hallway there.
"I hear this weird buzzing," she said, "Should we follow it?"
We all stayed silent, trying to understand what Val was hearing. I then heard this odd humming. It sounded like a firefly's buzz. I looked at Alex, and she shook her head.
"We should," Nan opposed, "It could be a clue."
"Or it could be one of Azelea's traps," Alex commented.
"Well," Lilac said, "You never know unless you try!"
Alex groaned, as everyone followed Lilac's purple light. I looked back at Alex, and she rolled her eyes and joined us. I smiled, as we caught up with the others. We were walking for a while, as the water from the ceiling dripped and echoed through the narrow halls. We then came upon two doors. One with ivy with roses growing on the frames, and the other had dead and crumbling branches.
"Which one do we go in first?" Alex asked.
"Good," Aspen said, "It's better to know the good things before the bad. At least your self esteem is better, than if you see the bad before."
We nodded, as Valery turned the stone knob.
Lilac
Valery opened the door, and behind it revealed this beautiful garden. It had Spirit flowers, Mystical plants, and even normal pieces of nature. Val smiled, and her mint green eyes shone with joy.
