Where was I?
I was walking in this forest. But not any forest. This forest had little glowing circles of blue, mint green and milky pink, coming out of the grass and trees. The trees' leaves were a light green and the trunks were dark and normal oak.
I looked at the flowers surrounding them. They looked.... Mystical. I touched one of the closed pink ones, and it opened at my touch. I quickly took my hand back, and the flower closed again. I then heard a small buzz near my ear. I waved my hand by it, and a small little firefly came to my face. It had a little face with big brown human-like eyes, and a little curved line that represented a mouth.
It chirped a bit, and the cuteness of the little guy's face made me smile. Where ever this place was, I never wanted to leave. Just then, a small little panther appeared, from the shrubs. It tilted it's head a bit, when it saw me, and that made my smile widen.
The little cub had large, wide, green eyes, it's fur was a small tan color, though the glowing lights made it more of a mix between turquoise and beige, and it's whiskers twitched every time he blinked. The cub purred a little, and I knelt down to let it sniff my hand. It's nose tickled my palm, as it scanned over my hand. The firefly decided to land on my knee and rest.
When the cub was done sniffing my hand, it trotted into my lap and fell asleep. I pet it's fur, softly, and I was amazed by how soft it was. It felt like those fake fur sweaters you would wear; smooth, silky, and shined in the light created by the small glowing circles.
I never wanted to leave this place. It's so.... peaceful.
Just then, I heard a familiar voice.
Sh, don't want to wake her up!
Just then, a bright light shined in front of me, making the panther run out of my lap and into the forest. The little firefly, horrified as well, flew with 'em, and before I knew it, I was in my hospital bed again.
"Oh look!" Mike said, "You woke her up, Daniel."
"I'm sorry," he said, quietly, "I was just so excited to see her today."
I groan, maddened that I was awoken by the nice dream. Was that even a dream? It all felt so real, so.... magical.
I wonder if that was what the Spirit world looked like.
