Reese

Seeing everyone, even Alex, was so heartwarming.

"I still can't believe how different you look," Alex said, laying on one of the sunlit tree branches, "It feels like yesterday we were just kids. Now look where we are. Me being the leader of the wolf tribe, and you being the Spirit of... wait, what spirit are you?"

Now that I think of it, I don't know. I mean, I am a part of the Mystics, but what was my role? I started curling my white hair around my finger, as I lay down on my branch. The sunlight glowed with a magical white light, as it made my hair shimmer.

Now that I think of it, why did I have this white hair?

"You know," I blurted, "I was just thinking. Why do I have this hair?"

"Oh yeah!" she replied, rolling onto her stomach, "I forgot that your hair was brown. Not white. Oops!"

I looked to her.

"Hey! I've been your friend since I was little, and you forgot what my hair looked like?"

"Reese, give me a break! For over 700 years, I've been waiting for you to come back. I was just losing my memory of what you even looked like. Thank Mystics that I still remember you, in general."

"Touche," I said, "But hey, at least my hair shines more than your fur."

"IT DOES NOT!" she shouted.

"Does too!" I said.

She then threw a bunch of different colored leaves towards me, and they landed along the strand of my hair. Now my hair was even more prettier than before!

"Aw, c'mon!" she said, "I just made it more fabulous."

Just then, something shot in the air and smacked Alex in the ear. She yelped and swiftly scratched her inner ear. I looked down, and I saw that this little husky, and a few other different dogs, were laughing and barking. Once Alex got the thing out of her ear, she glared at the puppies.

"Parker!" she yelled, at the little husky, "You did not just do that! You could get in some horrible trouble, for that."

Parker and the other pups just had their ears down, and their tails between their legs.

Alex then jumped down, from ledge to ledge, towards the kids. They all took a couple steps back, as Alex's large form shadowed over them. One of the pups pushed Parker in front of them all, and his face was so sad.

"Parker," Alex said, lowering her head to his level, "Why did you do that?"

"W-w-w-well, I-I-I..." he stuttered, "I just..."

He then started tearing up. Aw, the poor thing.

"Alex-" I started.

"WHY AREN'T YOU LETTING ME JOIN IN THESE PRANKS?!" she said, tickling Parker.

He started laughing, as her nose dug into his fur. Heh, the playfulness of dogs. It never gets old.

"Okay, okay!" he said, laughing, "We promise to get you in with some pranks, sis!"

"Good," she said, stopping, "Anyways, you guys go play. I'll be with you, in a bit."

As Parker and his friends ran off, Alex looked towards me.

"I'll let you see the others," she said, "I gotta get along with my bro."

I nodded, as Alex caught up to the guys.

Aspen

I was leaning, on one of the golden lit trees.

I breathed in the fresh air, and I sighed out the stress. Calm down, Aspen. There's nothing bad happening, now. Ugh, but that stupid vision is just replaying in my head.

I can't die

"What?" I heard, from behind me.

I jumped and fell to the ground. I hit my head, and I put my hand on that part. As I winced, as I felt a small bump form, a small hand went out to me. I looked up, and it was Reese.

"Sorry," she said, softly, "I wasn't expecting you to get scared. You just said something, and I was just wondering what you said."

I took her hand, as I got up.

"It was nothing," I replied, dusting myself off, "Just my own thoughts."

I felt my pant pocket, and felt the picture that was inside. I pulled it out, and looked at it. The picture was a black and white photo of my grandmama. It was a while ago, but every time I look at it I think that moment was just yesterday. She can teleport through regions, but she's been on the bright side for a while.

And since I don't know where the bright side exactly is, I haven't seen her for a while.

"Aspen," Reese interrupted, "Is something up?"

"Hmm?" I said, putting the picture back, "Uh, it's nothing, Reese. I was just thinking, again."

"If it's something that's bothering you, you can talk about it."

I sighed. Reese has seen Grandmama before, but.... ugh.

"If you don't want to, that's fine," she said, slowly walking away.

"Wait," I stopped her, looking to the ground.

I felt her looking towards me, and when I glanced up at her her white hair glittered in the light. I leaned against the tree, and I told her the story.

"My grandmama," I said, "You've seen her, before."

"That person that told me to come here?" she asked.

"Yeah. So she can teleport through regions. I'm guessing when she heard about you, she teleported to me. She lives in the bright side, and I have no idea where that is."

"What is the bright side?"

"The bright side is an area of holiness, in the Spirit World. It'll never become succumbed to the Darkness."

Reese nodded, signalling me to continue.

"I haven't seen her, in years. Besides that time, of course. Everyday, I have dreams of when I was younger, and when the Darkness didn't take over our world. Back when I knew she was safe, and I was with her."

"Why didn't you go with her?"

"I got held back, because I had to save as many people as I could. It was a sacrifice worth taking, but I still think of her."

"Aspen."

I looked to Reese, and she was walking towards me. Oh my Mystics, she looked prettier than before. I felt my face heat up, as she put her hand on my shoulder. She gave me a small smile.

"We'll be able to find her, don't worry."

She gave me a kiss, on my cheek, and she went back into the cave. I felt the cheek she kissed, and looked back to where she went.

Okay, how much was I blushing?

K.C.T: OOWAY! Okay, I am SUPER sorry I couldn't update, yesterday. I couldn't get any time to get the laptop, and I was a bit busy. Anyways, I have to give this laptop to my mom. OOWAY! <3
