New Life?

It's now been thirty years since I destroyed the wall of Darkness with my friends.

No one remembered the day they were captured and taken by Grody. Well, almost everyone. Daniel, Micheal, Dad, and Valery all remembered. Valery and I always jumped into the picture I made, and Aspen would usually be there to greet us. He would give me a kiss while Val would always tease him and me. Sometimes, Daniel used to ask me if he could come along. I was always happy to hitch along a friend, especially if they were little bro.

Much has changed since that day. Mystical creatures, such as wolves and pixies, now die whenever they reach one-hundred and fifty years more of their life. So if there is a new cub, they will most likely gain their tree form around age 150. If they were already living, then they have about one-hundred and fifty or so years more. Of course, it also depends on their age level. Rose and Lilac will most likely die in about one-hundred and twenty years while Alex will most likely live for another one-hundred and five years.

At least, that's what Mother says.

Speaking of whom, Mother is still hidden within the dreams and visions of others, so the only times Daniel and I were able to see her was when we fell asleep. As he would say, she showed him amazing places. Waterfalls, ice caves, forests, he loved it all, and so did I.

Rose and Lilac were the leaders of the Pixie Meadows. Autumn had died a couple of years ago, and her tree was placed next to Jessica's and Azelea's tree. It's grown to be a very strong and healthy tree which meant that she's living a good afterlife. I wonder how hard it was for Rose and Lilac to lose her. Then again, we all helped them through her death.

Alex is still the strong leader of the pack. I came to visit her one day, and she had something important to tell me. It turned out that Daring had asked her to be his mate. She now had two adorable cubs that Parker constantly played around with. He was now a healthy, adult explorer, yet he still couldn't help being mischievous with the cubs of the tribe: Alpha or Omega. I guess his personality suits his job in the pack.

Aspen and I had become very close in those visitations. We would bring Daniel, Valery and all the others back to my mother's old home just to speak of simple and little events that had happened in the time. Even though Aspen had confessed when I left, when I went into high school, Ethan had told me his feelings for me. As heart-breaking as it was to see his reaction when I said I couldn't share the feelings back, he was happily married to someone I very well know. Who could that be?

As shocking as this answer might seem, his wife is none other than Valery.

But that was all about twenty years ago. What was happening now was me sitting on a tree branch on Earth. My twin, teen daughters, Orchid and Lily, were with their father- Aspen- and they were drawing a picture of the sunset. Aspen had agreed to come to Earth, and he was very much enjoying the pretty parks that spread throughout the area.

Valery joined me on the tree branch as I was staring at my family and her family. Ethan had work, so he wasn't able to come and meet Aspen for the first time. Val's son Charlie was talking to Lily, and the bits I could piece together were about the Spirit World.

I studied everyone's features; even my own. Valery and me had gray roots at the tops of our heads, but we still looked like we were in our thirties. I saw light wrinkles underneath Val's eyes, along the sides of her mouth and cheeks, but she still look happier than ever.

Aspen's hair was a salt and pepper color. Even though he hates it when someone says he's getting old, he still laughs when they say it. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's because of how many years had passed by, or the fact that it's the truth and he's willing to get over it. But what I do know is that my family won't be separated.

Well... at least not for a long, long time.

The End

K.C.T: The end has come. But not for long! Ha ha ha! I won't leave you guys hanging on that note. There's a second book to this, and it's called The Wild Spirit. I've been working on it, and I'm still trying to get the story line together. I can't wait until I finish the basic plot points, but until then, I hoped you enjoyed this book. Also, I updated later than usual because I just came back from a busy day (Plus I got to watch Finding Dory). Anyways, Everybody say bai! OOWAY! <3
