Alex

Howls and shrieks filled the air.

My ears perked up when I heard them. The others were already awake, and they were fighting off the Darkness monster things. I looked around the cave and saw that everyone was trying to hide the cubs and children. Although the pixies were using some dust to keep them away, the Darkness still managed to take some of them and even a few wolves.

My people.... Parker!

"Parker!" I shouted. "Where are you?!"

"Alex!" I heard Reese yell. I looked to where her voice was coming from, and I saw Parker in her arms. He was bloodied and unconscious. My eyes widened at the sight of him.

"What happened to him?!" I sobbed looking at him.

"He fended off one of the Darkness animals from hurting some of his friends," she replied. "They made it away safe, but he got injured."

"How badly did he get hurt?" I asked my voice shaky.

"He may be bloody, but he's fine. He just needs a little care, but that's it." Just then, we heard more screams. I looked and saw Aspen and Valery trying to fend off some of the souls. Before they could get hurt, this angelic light came from Reese, and a beam of light came from her hand.

It completely obliterated the Darkness.

Aspen ran over to her, but her glow didn't fade.

"Let me take Parker," he said. Reese nodded, and I noticed a slight figure behind her. It was a faded white, but I had some sort of feeling that it was safe for it to be around. "I'll take him outta here as well as the other kids. You guys fight off the Darkness."

I nodded as we went to fend off the monsters.

Reese

Reese.

A light voice spoke to me. I looked at myself, and I felt this large amount of energy flow within me. It filled ever vessel and limb in my body. My arms, legs, hands, everything.

I will help you. The Darkness is going to take revenge soon, and it's up to the both of us to help.

Mom?

"Reese," Alex said. "What was that."

"Do not be afraid, Alex," A different voice said coming from my lips. "Reese and I will help your tribe. Even if it means going to the Guardian's Palace."

"Lilith?"

I wasn't able to speak to her because I got this urge to just attack the souls and demons floating around the ruined caves.

Valery and the pixies followed me as I took my power and shot it at the souls. The dust Pixies held up some brown dust and blew it towards the Darkness. It kept them trapped. I signaled Aspen and the other wolves to get out of here and get to safety. He nodded, but I could tell that there was some worry within his eyes.

"Reese," Val said. "Some of the wolves and pixies were taken to this place called the Guardian's Palace. Where's that?"

"I know what they're talking about," Autumn replied. "The Guardians were supposed 'saviors' of this land. They got rid of the threats of the Spirit World, but they brought upon the Darkness because of a rebellion of one of the members. He has an assistant to help him, but I don't know who he is."

Father.

"I know who you speak of," The voice came again from me. "And I'm such an ignorant one for not knowing whom it was. For now, we need to get rid of this Darkness." Autumn just looked at me, confused, but there was no time to be odded out by something different.

We fought our best against the Darkness. It may have revived itself a bit, but Alex's power of animal calling and Val's power of nature kept them at bay. Lilac fought with her dust, and Rose took these pixies to get the little ones out.

Reese. Watch out!

I looked behind me and this purple essence came towards me. I wasn't able to dodge out of the way, and it hit my in my chest. Everything around me slowed down, and this figure came in front of me. This lion, hog looking thing with horrifyingly long horns and claws stood in front of me.

To my surprise, it smiled at me.

"Reese," He said in a familiar voice. "I never knew that you would be able to go through to get your powers. I should've just locked you up and forgotten all about you and just thought about your brothers instead."

"Dad...?" I said shocked.

"That's right. Also, speaking of your brothers, I've got them with me. Don't come soon and master will come and kill them himself."

Reese, don't.

"I will not let you kill my family," I responded ignoring my mom's voice. I ran towards  the creature that was my "Father" and shot my power at him. Before I could, however, this tornado of wind and magic made me falter. The most that I could do was get a good glimpse of my father's true form.

A monster he was and will always be.
