Alex
We all ran through the cramped halls as the sound of Reese's fighting became louder.
My wounds stung with this unbearable pain, but I had to keep on going. I didn't care about myself or what could happen to me. Right now, it was all about saving Reese, and that was it. I then heard distant cries, and when I turned my head, these huge Shadow Jaguars bolted up from the shadows within the ground.
I howled my loudest howl to warn the others, but instead these bats appeared and tore through the shadows into puffs of darkness. I gasped, but I then remembered the vision. I gained these powers of the Spirit of Animals.
A power only belonging to me.
I shook my head of the greed, and kept on running and running and running. We then reached this huge room. It was even more massive than I remembered. What stood out the most was Reese and Grody shooting at each other like mad!
"Hmm?" he said when he saw us. "I thought I sent Azelea to finish you off! Oh well, more people to sacrifice for my position, I suppose."
Val then nudged me and mouthed to me Use your powers. I I knew what to do, since I was still shaking from it, and I howled like there was no tomorrow. Because, let's be honest, there probably won't be with this fate we have to deal with.
Maybe something after this present will be better than what we have now.
The squeaking of bats, and the caws of hawks erupted and echoed around us, and Valery grew these black roses with the sharpest thorns and shot them towards Grody. He just raised his hands and made them disintegrate into dust. Just like that.
But when I commanded my animals to target him, Reese charged a brutal shot, and my warriors distracted him. She threw the charge of white magic towards him, it smacked him in his chest, and he fell to the ground.
He didn't even get a chance to breath when Reese destroyed him to ash.
Aspen
"Reese!" I called to her as I saw what she did to Grody in an instant. "What did you do?! Are you mad?!"
She just gave an demonic laugh, and it made me realize something. Her powers are corrupted, cursed, and not her true form. An idea then came to me. Her aura wasn't the same, the power was dark, and the vision was completely different from what it should've been.
"I haven't gone mad, Aspen," she replied with an evil smile. "I'm just finding how true my powers are to me. And the first thing I would like to do now is destroy you!"
Before I even had a chance to react, she shot this red laser like power towards us. I was still pretty weakened, and I knew that Valery, Alex, Rose, and Lilac were probably becoming tired from using their power. I ran towards the shadows of the walls, and I looked to see what Lilac was doing.
She took her brown dust and blew it over all of us. This atmosphere of light blue surrounded me as different colored auras appeared on the others. I'm guessing this would help with some of the attacks, but how strong was this pixie dust?
Out of nowhere, Reese began charging up this immense strike on Valery and Alex.
"Val! Alex!" I yelled running towards them.
I pushed them both out of the way as this dark purple beam of power struck my aura. I held my hand up to strengthen it, but it was beginning to tear open. Reese came closer and closer to me in an effort to destroy my barrier, and I looked into her blank purple eyes.
"Reese... please," I whispered to her as tears formed in my vision. "You can't do this to the people that care for you."
"Aspen," she replied with a smirk. "Do you think that I care about the Spirits in this world? All I care for is becoming stronger and stronger. And that can start with draining your power."
Just then, my aura broke completely, and I felt this stabbing pain as the power crept up my neck, face, and down my arms, legs, and chest.
All I saw from then was white.
Rose
"Aspen!" We all cried.
When Reese stopped her deadly shot, we saw Aspen with his face and entire body covered in those lines that kept Reese from waking up before. I flew over to him, and he was like a shattered mirror or glass sculpture.
"Heheheh!" She cackled as we went to Aspen's side. "Ah, that red dust seems to be the only thing that is easy to use for your own purpose!"
Lilac's eyes widened as she checked her bag for the red dust. It turns out that it was completely empty.
"I...It's pliable?" Her voice shook as she whispered. "H-h-how?"
"Oh, my little friend," Reese said with fake sadness. "Did you not know of the command that powerful beings can take from the red dust? It Absorbs one's power, and it leaves them in that critical state. If the person who used the dust is merciful, then they'll replace the person's magic with something evil and dark."
"That's not mercy!" Valery yelled. "Reese! Where is that shy friend I met at lunch? Where is that person that would draw underneath the huge tree she wasn't allowed to climb? Where is that girl that used to live with her two brothers? Please Reese!"
Reese's eyes began to soften. They suddenly didn't have that evil aspect to them. No. Instead, they were like the old Reese's eyes: sweet, caring, and lovable. Too bad it didn't last for long.
"You foolish elf," she said. "You think that you can stop me from using this amazing power?"
"Yes!" I heard from behind us.
When I turned my head, I gasped at the witch that stood before us with a group of pixies behind her.
K.C.T: :O *Crickets Chirp* AHHHHHHH! OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! CLIFFHANGERS. ARE. REAL!!!! XD Anyways, I love these for a reason, and I'm going to make you wait! No mercy. Lol. Anyways, everybody say bai! OOWAY! <3
