I was sitting at my fathers side and I started to squeeze his hand. Marylin came back with a pitcher of water. My dad looked at me and laughed slightly.
"Oh Hazel, You don't have to worry about me! Your dad is a strong man! He can take anything that is thrown at him." I laughed and started to grip his hand tighter. "I know, I just want to be by your side as long as I can." He smiled at me and moved his eyes towards Marylin who set the pitcher of water down on the side of his bed. She looked at me and smiled, "Hazel, would you like to sleep over tonight?" I nodded my head and smiled at her sweetly.
I said goodbye to my father and I made my way to my dad's and Marylin's house and started to take my library books upstairs with me, changed into some sweatpants and a baggy shirt and started to study. I took at least a 3 minute break and began studying again and repeated the information in my head that I read kept on reading more. I was called down for dinner by Marylin and we began talking about what goes on in our lives. She talked alot about my father which made me happy. I'm glad that my father makes Marylin happy. As she talked about my father, she looked down at her food, while her cheeks turned bright red. She reminds me of myself whenever I talk about Calum.
After I was finished eating, I began to wash dishes as Marylin began to place food in the refrigerator. I went into my room and began to study. I checked what time it was; 9:53PM. I began to study my medical book terms that I have received from the library. Marylin walked towards my room, leaned against the door frame and knocked. I looked up and I smiled. "I hope that you are Ok, Hazel." She said as she walked over to the end of my bed. I nodded my head and placed my finger where I left off. "I am, I am just worried about my father and worried about school." She nodded her head and continued to speak. "Hazel, I know you met me for a short amount of time, but I do love and care about you, you are like family to me. If you need anything at all, let me know. I am here for you." "Thank you Marylin, I really appreciate it alot." Marylin and I both hugged eachother and she got up and made her way to the door frame again. "Get some rest too. You need it." She said as she shut off the light. I turned on my lamp on the side of my bed and began reading some more.
Moments later, I received a text from Calum, "Where are you?" I then began texting him back, "At my father's house." I then set the phone down and began thinking about Jordan, why did she seem so angry about my decision. Is it because I didn't tell her? Is it because that all of us were supposed to stick together after highschool? I would love to do that, but I have a future and I'd rather go far in life instead of doing anything without any clue in the world what I want to do. I received another text from Calum, I opened the message and read it. "I am on my way, are you aloud out?" I bit my lip and began texting back, "No," I then watched as Calum's text icon was moving (meaning he was texting me). "Look outside your window." I rose my eyebrows and placed the book on the side of me, rolled on the other side of the bed and looked out the window. Calum was waiting for me at the bottom of my window. I then gave him the 'One Moment,' hand signal and I made my way over to my door silently and poked my head out. I noticed that down the hall, the light was on. I then looked downstairs and seen all the lights were off from my view. I closed my door silently and walked over to my window again. I started to climb out of the window slowly. "ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Calum whispered in a harsh manner. "I'm crazy for you," I said with a slight giggle, "I'm going to jump, catch me." I said as I gave him at least 3 seconds to be prepared. "Ok, I'm ready," Calum said in a soft whisper.
I closed my eyes and let go of the edge my window. Having Calum's arms catch me bridal style. I look at him and smile, "Well hi there," I said to him while giving him a kiss on the cheek. He set me down and smiled back at me. "Hi." I kissed his lips softly.
Him and I began walking on the sidewalk hand in hand, swinging our arms back and forth slightly. "So, how was your day?" Calum said in a concerned tone in his voice. I shrugged my shoulders, "Despite the fact that Kendall threatened me today, I'm peachy." I looked up at Calum and he had a straight line on his face, he then stopped walking and stepped infront of me and wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me close to him tightly. I was startled but wrapped my arms around him back. I felt warm tears drop on my shoulder. "Let me know if he is threatening you again, I don't want him near you." I nodded my head slowly and wrapped my arms as tight as I can around Calum. We both stood in the dark, while the moon was shining down, reflecting on the silent street. I looked in his eyes and smiled, "I am very proud of all of you. You guys will make it far in your band. Just remember though, to do it for the fans and not for the fame." Calum began to blush and stroked my cheek, "That's our goal, is to make all of our fans happy." I stood on my tippy toes and I kissed his lips softly- pulling himself closer to my body. I couldn't help but to stop kissing and smile as our lips are pressed together.
