Song: Goner- Twenty One Pilots
A/N: I know I'm using a lot of Twenty One Pilots right now but I just seem to really like them right now (⌒▽⌒). I, also, think their songs go with the story. I think this song matches with Crash because we know he's hiding some secret (-_^).
Chapter 5
Her smile was sickening. I looked behind her to see Crash kneeling with his head down. She tapped her foot and smiled," Well?""You need a psychologist," I gritted out. I held in the pain of hearing her say my parents are dead.
"Oh honey, don't you see you are the one who needs a psychologist for your damage your parents caused you," she says, making me flinch. I stood my ground, I didn't bow my head to her insults. I wasn't taking any of it. I gave her the "sweetest" smile I could give her.
"Ohhh, I know you're parents were shit when you grew up. That's why you're all," I point at her and continue,"... Ummm messed up." She flinched at the mention of her parents but she took a deep breath and smiled. This wasn't going to be good.
"You know what's more messed up? Your parents leaving you and then DYING. Just to leave you alone again," she sang the last part. Each insult broke me down more but I won't let her see that. No, I won't. I laughed and stared at her with narrowed eyes.
"You think I care. The fact that an adult is fighting with a teen shows that you are not fit to be one. You are childish and immature," I smirk and her face turned as bright as her own hair. I saw Crash snigger behind her but she was to angry to hear. She stormed out the room, angry. "You know you can get up now right?" I raised an eyebrow at him. He looked up and I saw his eyes pierce my own.
"I can not," he says, devoid of any emotion. I sigh and look at him for a moment before he says,"You can leave towards your room." He pointed towards the empty stone room.
"You really think I'm going back in there?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. He nodded and I sat down beside him," Well too bad, I'm not."
"Then, leave," he said, harshly. I ignored him a just stared at him, curiously. He squirmed at my stare but stayed in his spot. "What?" His jaw clenched. I shrugged as I watched him.
"What is on the line for you if you don't complete your 'mission'?" I asked. He kept quiet and I sat there waiting for his response. He said nothing and I took a deep breath in. We sat there in the suffocating silence.
"Leave. You can you know?" He said. I looked at him.
"I can't," I said. His head shot up and looked at me in surprise.
"Why?" He asked. Curiosity was written all over his face. I shrugged at him and all of a sudden his phone blared out. He looked down at his side to see the lit up phone. He pulled the cell phone out and answered the call. "Hello?" His voice bellowed out. He nodded and got up from his spot. "Yes ma'm," he said, without and tone or pitch in his deep voice. He turned to me and started inching closer.
"What are you doing?" I stood up, as fast as I could. He frowned and moved faster. I spun as fast as I could and ran. I pushed the doors open and sped through them. Each made a creaking noise. Finally, I was outside and the sun beamed down in hot waves. A few minutes later, sweat dribbled down the sides of my face and my breath was ragged. I looked around to see if he was any where. The place was empty...
Something wasn't right. My head snapped around to find any traces of where Crash was. A twig cracked as my head snapped over to the sound. No one was there... Another twig snapped and my head went the other way. Again no one was there. After a few minutes, I got dizzy and groaned.
"Really? Is that necessary?" I threw up my hands in frustration. I looked around for any shadows and that's when I felt it. My body tensed as the warm air went down my neck. It felt tingly and that wasn't good. Getting ready, I was about to run when I was locked back into place.
"Yes, or else it wouldn't be possible for me to capture you. This time I'm doing it right," Crash said as his breath made my breath hitch and my skin crawl. I got a waft of how his breath smelled. It was peppermint. Well I guess I'm attending this college...
