Chapter 26
Warning for those of you who travel with two girls who hate each other. You know what you get? Bickering. Bickering can be funny until a certain point and if you are in my spot, they would have, already, driven you crazy. We walked along the side of the empty road as the sun shone down on us. We have been walking for three hours and by the time we left it was already four. "Stop it, you piece of shit," Dallas complained.

"Stop it," Crash mocked. Real mature Crash. I rolled my eyes. "Don't be a big baby," he said in a baby voice. Dallas groaned and shoved his hands his pocket.

"Then, don't be such an ass," he mumbled. I saw Crash roll his eyes.

"I swear, you guys are secretly a couple," I muttered. Their eyes snapped towards me and it was so wide, I swear they were going to pop out any second.

"Hey. Don't insult me and put me with a baby," Crash whined. I sighed and sped up. They followed with their continuous bickering. I stopped, very fast and they stopped, almost bumping into me. I felt something wrong. Someone was watching us.

"What-" Dallas asked but I shut him up.

"Will you guys shut up for a second?" I hissed. They blinked, frantically. Great, whoever was following us was gone. They found out I knew and now they are gone. I sighed and shook my head. I continued through the street, probably ten minutes away from the city. I was starting to see the risen smoke and hear the busy streets with the occasional honks. Buildings peaked over the trees. I saw the smoky air waft over. I squint to see a distant helicopter.

"Hey, how are you feeling? We haven't asked you even though we have been fighting," Crash asked. I turned around and cocked an eyebrow. I wasn't fine. Inside felt like a desert. It was dead and lonely yet warm and irritating.

"Fighting? More like bickering like sissies. What makes you think I'm not ok?" I asked. My mind was a blizzard of emotions that I needed to clear up before it got in my way.

"Well you were fine when I left you and you decide to take off, out of no where might I add," Crash stated. He was correct there. I sucked in a breath.

"Why were with him yesterday?" Dallas questioned as some unknown thing swirled through his eyes.

"He put my sister and me in the hospital," I sighed. Dallas eyes widened and his head snapped towards Crash. Crash held up his hands as if he were surrendering to a raging Dallas.

"Hey! Don't make me sound like the bad guy," he went into defense mode. I rose an eyebrow at him.

"You're not?" I asked. His eyes flickered to the side as he bit his lip. He rubbed his neck, awkwardly.

"Well it wasn't mean-" he tired to explain.

"Than what was meant?" I snapped. He flinched. We were on the border of the busy city. Cars zoomed by us as the wind that trailed by, brushed past us.

"Well what do you want to say? I didn't know nor did I anticipate the outcome!" He shout in frustration as his features twisted into something unknown. It was like he wanted to get mad but at the same time, he was frustrated and sad. My angry expression softened, a little bit.

"I'm sorry. I just had a really stressed out day," I whispered. He let out a sigh.

"It's alright," he shook his head. "It's my fault too," he said.

"Well that was tense," Dallas said. Crash's and my head snapped towards Dallas and glared. He grinned, cheekily. I rolled my eyes and moved towards the city.

"Where's the airport?" I asked. Both of them took a minute and they both pointed off into the same direction. It was to the left.

"Question? Where in Japan are we going to search?" Dallas asked. That's when I realized that I didn't know where we were going. I only had the money for the one way trip.

"Guys how does it feel to be living in Japan for a while?" I grinned. They looked at with wide eyes.

"What?" They asked in disbelief.

"Are you crazy? When will we be able to get back?" Crash asked.

"I don't know but we need to live there for a while. I have a feeling my parents won't be easy to find. Keep in mind the CSP will be on the lookout," I warned. Crashed sighed and nodded.

"One thing I need to take care of. I need one day," Crash said, stiffly. I sighed and bit my lip as I nodded.

"One day, Crash. One day," I confirmed. He nodded a thanks before taking off. Well it's just me and Dallas today. Great.
