Chapter 19
The sun streamed through the window as I, groggily, got up. Then, I remembered the ribbon and I shot out from bed. I stretched my arm to put it on but my hand went onto an empty surface. My heart sped up and I moved my arm around. I panicked at turned towards the desk. I shuffled through the drawers under. Not there. Who would take it? Evie groaned and turned over as she looked at me. "What are you doing?" She whined.

"My ribbon, it's gone," I whispered. She shot up and looked wide eyed.

"What didn't you have it last night?" Her voice cracked. Why did it crack? I shrugged it off because it was probably cause she just woke up.

"Yeah and I put it on the night stand and I couldn't find it this morning," I sighed. She looked around to help me find it.

"Maybe it fell from the wind and now it's on your bed," she suggested. I nodded and got up. I aired out my blanket but nothing came from it. I looked at the empty bed but there was nothing. I liked through the cracks of the bed. My heart pounded that it hurt. Nothing. I fell to my bed and let out a groan. I felt the bed dip beside me and a hand on my shoulder.

"We'll find it together tonight. I'll help you but get ready for now," she said softly. I nodded and, tiredly. I started putting my hair back into a simple braid. When I finished, I slipped on my uniform and walked out. She nodded and rushed in.

I'm sorry mom and dad, I failed. Guilt rose up in me. I blew out a deep breath. Evie was taking a while. I walked towards the door and when I was about to knock, I heard sniffling. "Evie? Are you alright?" I called out. It was quiet for a second when the door opened and Evie stood there. Smiling?

"Yup! I don't know what you're talking about," she said as she walked past me. I narrowed my eyes at her as they trained on her.

"You're such a bad liar," I accused. She scoffed and looked at me in the eye.

"Really, I'm fine," she assured and I sighed. I looked away and let the subject go. "You ready?" She asked and I nodded. She walked out into the hall and waited for me. I followed her and she shut the door. We walked in silence. We exited the dorm building and walked out into the heat. She fanned herself, as did I. It's hot. What's up with the weather change? She walked off to her first class and she waved bye. I sighed, my mind couldn't put a finger on why she was acting weird.

"Cadwell! Get to work," she yelled. I sighed and started hitting. I missed every time. I was hit most of the time the other strikes. My head was everywhere else but here. "Cadwell! You work with Crash," she yelled. Sam looked at me, wide eyed. I shake my head and pat her shoulder.

"Hey Aralynn," Crash said as he smirked. I sighed and looked out into the field. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Crash called out. I blinked and stared at him.

"Yeah?" I said. He punched my arm and I flinched. "Owww! What the hell!" I hissed. He shrugged and I glared at him.

"You're not listening," he sighed.

"I am!" I shouted. He rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Whatever. Let's do this," he grumbled. What is his problem? I brought myself back and I got in position. He did too and he made the first move. He punched and I ducked and did a low kick. He dodged the kick and did two flips, a cartwheel flip and a regular. He rushed towards me and I did a back flip and kept going. He caught up and I stood up. He went for a punch and I caught it and flipped him over. I grinned and looked at him.

"I win," I said in a cheery voice but inside I felt like shit. His breathing came erratic. I held a hand out for him and he grabbed it. Everyone was staring in awe. Their jaws dropped and their surprise broke into whispers. I sighed and groaned. What am I doing? I let my guard down. Mrs. Dally made her way towards me. She shushed everyone in the process.

"Ms. Cadwell, I think you are at a level of professionals," she said with a stoic face. I shake my head with widened eyes. She cocked an eyebrow. I slumped and sighed.

"Mrs. Dally can you keep quiet about this?" I asked. She looked away.

"Not after so many people have seen this. I don't know, I can but if a student tells more people gets in trouble," she smiles sadly. I looked at her and nod.

Evie came storming towards me and I looked at her with wide eyes. She gripped my shirt and I held my arms up. "You idiot!" She screamed. "Why would you show that much skill?" She screamed out.

"What is it going to do with you? It doesn't have anything to do with you," I looked away and pulled myself away from her grip. She looked at me with hurt and she took a step back.

"You're going to get us both killed," her face turned blank. Wait what?

"Excuse me?" I asked. Her eyes darkened.

"My birthday is April 3rd, 2120," she said. I looked at her with crossed arms.

"So?" I cocked an eyebrow. She looked away and sighed.

"My parents are Reiliana and Joseph Taylor or as you know it Cadwell," she said. My eyes widened and I stumbled back and looked at her in horror. Same birthday, same age, and same parents. My brain tried to wrap around the concept. But my parents only had one child...

"W-We're twins?" I stuttered. She looked down and shook her head. Than what? What else?

"We're the same person," she broke to me.
