Chapter 25
I went through every possible reason as to why she had the ribbon but none of them fit. Maybe it's not my ribbon just one that look similar to it. I nodded and picked the ribbon up but immediately put it down. It was mine, for sure. I shake my head and back away. Denial filled my head and my eyes burned. I sucked up my feelings and got the ribbon back out. I scanned the ribbon once more, doubting I knew anything on it. Stunned, I realized the writing seem oddly familiar. It read: 日本 (Japan)
I studied it a little more, confused. I tried pulling information about the writing. Nothing came up. Frustrated, I shoved the unwanted ribbon into my pocket and ran out of the dorm. Realizing I would need my clothes, I backed up and went to pack my clothes.
I shoved all of my things in my backpack. I didn't have much anyways. I left my uniform in the dresser because I wouldn't need it. I, once again, ran out. The cool wind brushed my skin, leaving goosebumps on my skin. I walked through the moonlit campus. I heard crunching sounds behind me so I swirled around to see the person following me.
"What do you want?" I called out to the darkened shadow. The shadow came closer and I got into position to fight. I narrowed my eyes as the guys face came into view and was illuminated from the moonlight. I slouched back down and sighed in relief. "What are you doing here, Dallas?" I asked in irritation. He cocked a dark brow and looked at me.
"I should be asking you the same thing, silver?" He questioned his nickname. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever and its bluish grey," I sighed as I started to walk to an undetermined place.
"Wait! You're going to get lost," he called out. I ignored him and let on walking. I heard him jogging and he came closer and closer. "Let me come with you, than," he suggested.
"No," I said, firmly.
"Well do you know your way to the city? I'll guide you," he offered. I contemplated his suggestion and sighed.
"Fine but be quiet," I said and he smirked. I rolled my eyes as we walked towards the exit of the campus.
"I have a qu-" he said but I cut him off when I heard footsteps behind us. I look around for the person but there isn't any.
"Who's there?" I called out. I heard shuffling and it coming closer. The guy's hair was so dark that it blended in with the night. His frame was broad and tall.
"It's just me," the voice said. I squinted as the shadow stood at the distance. I knew that voice but who was it? I walked towards the shadow but Dallas grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him.
"You can't go, you don't know who it is," he whispered. I looked at him and narrowed my eyes.
"I'm pretty sure I'm capable of protecting myself," I hiss and he shrugs.
"Well you are the lowest score in the school," he said and I saw his eye twinkle a little bit. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I stomped on his foot and he let go.
"Well can the lowest score hurt you?" I teased and I heard him curse under his breath. I walked up to the person, as their features became more prominent. "Crash?" I asked in bewilderment. He nodded and he looked confused.
"What is up with you and Curt?" He asked but it seemed too emotionless. I wanted to defend myself but I controlled my emotions.
"Nothing," I shrugged, making it seem like I didn't give a fudge but my insides were jumping everywhere. What is this? I backed away a little bit and Crash reached for me.
"Are you ok," he asked as tingles shot up my arms. I pulled away and shook my head.
"Yep!" I said, cheerfully. He narrowed his eyes but let the subject go.
"Hey! Would you hurry up? Is he coming or not?" Dallas called out. Crash's eyes went to Dallas but after a few seconds, it landed on me.
"Where are you going?" He asked, darkly.
"Going to find my parents," I said and he shakes his head.
"You're not," he says as he was not going to budge. I shook my head at his response.
"I'm going whether you like it or not," I said.
"Then I'm going to go too," he said
"No, you got so much to deal with," I challenged and he only shrugged. "Fine," I sighed. He smiled as we walked to where Dallas stood.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Dallas sneered. I shrugged and looked at both of them glaring at each other.
"He wanted to come along like you did," I said and started walking.
"Why'd you let him come along?" He asked.
"Why'd I let you come along?" I shot back and he stayed quiet. Crash bellowed out in laughter and I glared at him. "Shut up, unless you want to wake up everyone," I hissed.
"Touché," Dallas replied very late. His face was red and I could tell when it was dark.
"Did you really take that long to reply?" I cocked an eyebrow at him. I heard him mutter something and I let a little chuckle out.
"Shhh, remember," Crash mocked. I rolled my eyes at his childishness.
"Seriously?" I asked, dryly. Crash smirked.
"Anyways," Dallas says. I look at him as he continues," Can I asked what the hell is happening and why you colored your hair that color?" He asked.
"The headmistress colored my head this color and I'm going to see a translator for a ribbon that my parents sent me," I said. "It has the location of where they are, or at least a clue," I said, as I move rigidly due to the thought she took it away from me.
"Can I see it before we spend money on something useless?" Dallas asked. I looked at him, skeptically.
"What makes you think you can read it?" I asked and he huffs.
"Well I can read 10 languages," he bragged and I rolled my eyes at his haughtiness. I pulled out the wrinkled ribbon and handed it to him. "Hah, it's Japanese," he says. My eyes widened and I looked at him with eagerness.
"So? What does it say?" I grinned. He looked at me and smirked.
"I didn't say what it'd say. That will come at a price," he grinned and I groaned.
"What do you want?" I sighed. His grin went wider, if it was even possible.
"I want a kiss," he smiles. I scrunched up my face and shook my head. I grabbed the ribbon and huffed.
"What the hell dude! I won't allow it," Crash glared. Dallas smirked at him.
"I was just kidding, Blue," he says and I raised an eyebrow at him. "It says Japan," he says as he stood up in confidence. I rolled my eyes again.
"Blue?" Crash asked in bewilderment. Dallas ignored him.
"Hair color," I said before walking. "Off we go to Japan but first I will say this once and once only. I will not allow fighting or what they'll you guys do because it's annoying as hell," I said. They both nod in sync and we walked off into the darkness.
