Chapter 21
I didn't enjoy the rest of the night. My head was crammed with questions about my situation. When we got up to leave, I let a little smile up. All I know is that I have a twin sister. We walked back and she asked me questions. "What was it like without mom and dad there?" She asked, curiously."Well, I worked at a restaurant and I lived in a shit apartment," I laughed. She turned to look at me.
"How bad was the apartment?" She questioned as if she was a curious kid.
"Well the walls were worn down. There's a giant hole in the floor right now. There's vines that crawl up the walls and I swear there's some bird nests," I explain. She looked at me with wide eyes.
"A hole in the floor?" She asked, in confusion. I laughed and nodded.
"Yup, I stepped on the floor and boom," I said and continued," I fell through. Kind of funny actually." She was shocked to say the least.
"Funny?" She shrieked. "That sounds like the worst possible way to live," she exaggerated. I shrugged and looked at her.
"My situation could have been worse. I had a place to sleep and food to eat," I explained.
"Wow-," she was cut off when we we walked towards our door. Crash stood there and he was rigid. His head turned to us and all we saw was his face stoic. We stopped short and watched him as he inched closer.
"Are you ok, Crash?" I asked, with a shaky voice. He didn't say anything but he grabbed my wrist and pinned them behind me. "What are you doing?" I asked in confusion.
"I'm afraid you are coming with me," he said in a low voice. I stumbled as he pulled me along.
"Lynn! What's happening?" Evie asked. I shrugged as I looked at her, alarmed.
"Crash, what's going on?" I asked, cautiously. He turned his head and narrowed his eyes.
"You don't speak to me. I am not a baby," he said, harshly. His gripped tightened and I hissed.
"Crash, it's too tight," I said as I tugged but it only got tighter. I looked for any weak point and spotted one at his feet. I swung my feet to trip him but he only moved away.

He dumped me on the floor and I slid down. I hissed as I felt the stinging pain of a rug burn I knew was going to hurt later on. I scanned the room and saw white walls and down was a tan rug. "You know, standing up to me wasn't such a great idea. Now you've hurt Crash. Well," she laughed. "That was until I offered him a deal. Guess what? He took it" she continued. My head went towards him but he looked like it didn't affect him at all."You sold me out Crash? What the hell," I said with gritted teeth. He shrugged and stared at me.
"You mean nothing. I used you," he said. I flinched and looked at him with hurt. Tears burned the back of my eyes. He looked away and stood tall. I looked at him because he betrayed me.
"You know what I know? I know you aren't what you say you are. You've beat Crash and managed to avoid his hits. You're the real daughter of the Cadwells aren't you?" She concluded. She was correct with everything. I stayed quiet. She laughed and clapped. "I hit home run. Now time for my revenge." She walked towards me and yanked on my hair. I flinched and hissed in pain. I grabbed her hand and got in position to flip her over. She tried to get up but I held her down and she struggled. All of a sudden, I was grabbed from behind and pushed to the floor.
"What the hell Crash!" I shout in disbelief. He helped Beverly up and she smiled a sick grin for victory. She walked towards me and she grabbed my shirt and pulled me close.
"Don't you dare try to do that again. You got that," she sneered as her foul breath fanned over my face. I looked away from her and she smiled. She slapped my face and my eyes darted towards her. I narrowed them and smiled.
"Oh it's on," I hissed. I punched her face and she stumbled back. She gasped as Crash started to rush towards me. He went in for a kick but I dodged by jumping up and kicking. He stumbled and I took the chance to get out of the place. Before I knew it, I was surrounded.
"CSP here! Get down and don't fight," a man shouted. My eyes widened as they surrounded me. What's the CSP doing here? "We're here to take you," he stated. So they know. I mumbled profanities. I knew I needed to get away and not hurt them but how? I searched for ways but nothing came up. I panicked as I looked around.
"You got the wrong person! I'm the real daughter of the Cadwell! She's an ordinary person," a voice shouted. I turned to look and saw Evie. She was getting their attention. I shook my head, wildly but she stood with her head held high.
"How do we know you're telling the truth?" The man called out. She smirked and walked towards them. "Stay where you are!" He shouted as they formed a line and pointed a gun at her. She mouthed for me to go. I shook my head.
"Well, how am I going to prove to you," she winked. They stayed quiet and I took the chance to put them to sleep. One by one, I silently put pressure on their neck so they fall. As the last one fell, he shot and a loud boom echoed through the field. I looked at Evie and she looked alarmed. She looked down and there was red blood pooling down. I ran to her and I gritted my teeth.
"Evie!" I shouted as I got to her. I heard footsteps behind me. Tears started to blur my vision. I snapped my head to see Crash. "Get the ambulance!" I shouted. Evie's face turned pale as Crash flinched. He turned and ran towards infirmary. My head started to become light as I looked down. There was only Evie's blood on me. Why do I feel like this? The world became dizzying as I started to sway. My breath hitches as it started to become hard to breathe. Darkness started to form dots in my vision. A wave of pain hit me. I hugged my stomach as it started to hurt and when I couldn't take it anymore, I let the welcoming darkness take over.
