Chapter 15
I rub the ribbon as I walked towards the dorms. The sun is starting to set as its orange color starts to tint the blue sky into beautiful colors. The wind starts to pick up and the tree leaves start to rustle. That's when I realized the leaves were turning into its autumn colors. It matched the sky colors. I looked in amazement and felt as if I was in a scene of Pocahontas. That moment only lasted for a second. "Boo," a voice said. His voice brought chills down my spine and the minty smell was exotic for some reason. Don't question my thoughts ok? I don't know myself. My heart rate accelerated and I realized I had a little jump. I swirled around to see the person who scared the shit out of me.

"Don't do that!" I scowled and he chuckled.

"Sorry, you just seemed so amazed. I couldn't let you have all the fun," he teased. I looked at him with a cocked eyebrow. "Ok, ok. I was just seeing if-" he said but a new voice cut him off. New but familiar... Brenda? Bria?

"Crash," she sang out. I rubbed my ears at the foulness. I thought my singing was horrible, I guess there is someone else worse than me. I heard an audible sigh beside me. I looked over and saw that his face was devoid of any emotion. Wow that was fast. He went down on his knees again. I looked at him in horror. Her eyes landed on me and she sneered. What? "Crash, what are doing with this... thing?" She said as if I was too low for her to even recognize unless it was to insult me. I heard him grunt as he looked away. She went up close to him and touched his mouth. He stayed still and she smashed her lips on him. He kneeled there, unresponsive and she looked at me. I wanted to hurl and shout at her about how sick she was. "Mine," she bit. He didn't say anything except stared into space as if he was just an empty shell. Who treats a person like that? It was in humane.

"You do know you're one sick person right," I sneered. She cocked an eyebrow at me and circled around me. I felt her light touch turn harder and harder. My hands clenched at my side as I shoved the soft ribbon into my pocket. As she was about to strike, I caught her hand. Her face turned blood red and her anger flared. She pulled back her arm and hissed.

"You, you bitch! How dare you touch me!" She squealed. I shrugged and narrowed my eyes at her.

"Don't you dare try to hurt me again," I said in a deadly low tone. She flinched before composing herself again.

"Crash, let's go," she ordered. I shook my head as he got up. As she started to walk away, I pushed his chest to stop him from following her orders. "Let him go! He follows what I say!" She said with a shrill scream.

"First of all, he isn't your servant. Second, you can't treat people like you are doing now," I sneer. Her eyes narrowed at me.

"Let him go! He is mine! Crash, let's go!" She bellowed out.

"Enough! Beverly, you are not you. I'm sick of it. I'm not your plaything, we are over!" He hissed out. His breathing came erratic. They were a thing? Her name's Beverly? I thought it was Bria or Brenda. She flinched as her eyes went from angry to surprised to sad.

"B-but Crash, we promised that-" she said but he cut her.

"No, I'm done with how you have treated me," he said. She stiffened and her face turned blank.

"Fine with me than. You just lost another person who loved you," she snapped. He flinched but his rigid posture was still the same. His emotionless face was the same. She stepped away as she brought her arm towards her face. She disappeared and he fell down into a kneeling position.

"Damn it," he cursed. I watched him as he shot up from his spot and walked away. I followed him, I don't know why I just did. He was silent for a very long time. He went through the surrounding woods and we came across an abandoned road. At this time, night started to dawn. The pale moon started to follow our every movement. He went towards the road and followed it as I followed him. Why am I doing this? I don't know. We came to a hill... no it was a cliff. He climbed up and he turned around and helped me up. Apparently he knew I was there but I wasn't being very discreet about it. I climbed up and and he let go as I pulled myself up. He went to lay down and he watched the glittering sky. I laid down right beside him and I looked up. My breath hitches when I saw the breathtaking sky. It glittered like a million diamonds.

"It's beautiful," I whispered and he looked towards me.

"Yep, surely is," he answered my statement. "So what are you going to do?" He asked, changing the topic. I looked at him and turned my head to the sky.

"I don't know, it's hard for me to say. Everything's so crazy right now," I whispered. He focused on the sky and that's when I saw it.

"Yeah, a lot of things are crazy," he said but his voice cracked. The thing I saw slid down his cheek. He was crying. I stretched out my hand out wipe it but I, quickly, pulled away. I took a deep sigh and dug my hand in my pocket so I didn't have the urge to touch his face. I rubbed the ribbon and his head turned towards me. "So are you going to leave to find your parents?" He asked.

"Are you going to help me out?" I joked and he laughed. His eyes shined like I haven't seen before. It was captivating.

"Gladly," he teased as our eyes collided. We laid there as I seemed to be an eternity. He started to lean in and my eyes traveled to his pink lips. A rustle came from the trees and we snapped out of it. He scooted back and rubbed his neck, awkwardly. "We should head back," he said and stood up. He held a hand out and I took it. I searched his face as we walked back but it was back to his distracted, stoic expression. I sighed and I knew something was wrong.

We got back and we said our good nights and went our own ways. I snuck into bed, trying not to wake Evie up, and laid there. I couldn't sleep because my brain was working through today. It played back the almost kiss over and over again. Finally, I let myself fall into a deep sleep.
